We met many moons ago doing improv comedy and decided to officially say "yes, and" and tie the knot! What we didn't realize at the time, is that we had a pretty serious problem on our hands - we were both luxury candle hoarders.
After years of spending our pretty pennies on fancy candles, and loathing to light them, we decided we needed a better option to fulfill our fancy smell needs. There had to be a way to make luxury level candles at a more accessible price. Long story short, we were right, and Bijou was born. Bijou's inspiration comes from our obsession with all things pop culture, all things witchy, and all things women empowerment. Our candles are inspired by women in pop culture history and they carry the moniker of their iconic namesakes.
Candles that look good, smell good, and remind you of your idols? What could be better than that! Welcome to the Candle Coven, we're so happy to have you here!
oh we LOVE your candles. We ordered so many literally like 47 of your Starlet Candles as we are gifting to our clients with any purchase. Is there any way I can get the candle how to card for each candle? Thank you!
great tips. just bought a kit similar to yours. btw wouldn't the snuffer be coated with wax over time versus just drowning the flame with the hook thingy?
I like to reuse what I already have so I use an old stainless steel nail clipper to cut the wick and an old stainless steel pointy tweezer as a wick dipper. Works just fine 😉
Thank you for this video! I’m not really into candles and recently got my own because it was one of the candles that I actually like the smell of and have heard that there is right, and wrong ways to take care of a candle and didn’t really know exactly how but this video was very helpful
hi, a few questions: what is the purpose of removing excess wax that's stuck on the sides? instead of dipping the wick in the wax to extinguish the fire, cant I instead blow it gently? Can I extinguish the fire first before removing the excess wax from the sides? what's the recommended time of using the candle? also, why do I have to dip the wick into the wax to extinguish it if we have the candle snuffer? i appreciate it if you answer these, recently purchased candles and I want to properly maintain the candles, thank you for the short and informative video. Now we have a video on how to maintain the candle, can we also have a video on how to maintain the tools? thank you :)
Have a high wick w black w jeep csbdle burning but black tall which isn't good I had a candle thst fell sbd there was a huge rope knot and it smoked n burned very fast
I love you two and your candles! They’re absolutely divine. P.S. Thank you for the aluminum hat trick! Although I have the opposite problem and typically have my candles burning for like 8 (quarantine) hours...
Fiona was also incredibly young when she started out. We have been blessed to have grown up with Fiona 🙌🏻 I think I was 14 when she came out, and started collecting her every recorded utterance. We need a Fiona candle.
That was fun! I’m GenX so I remember ALL of your cds from a different era of my life. I just moved myself and got my cds out of storage after 5 years. It should be illuminating when I open the boxes.
You two are such a delight! It’s hilarious how your cd collection is similar to mine ❤️You know you went to musical theatre school when half your cd collection is from musicals. 😂
You belong on RU-vid! I’m so happy!!! And honestly I’ve been going through a rough time in my personal life. This brought me so much joy. Thank you ladies 💗
