Hey there! I do challenge videos on a variety of different games. Sometimes they are weird, and sometimes they are difficult, but it's always interesting! I also post about games I really like or think are special. Hope you enjoy!
Fun fact: you don't even need to keep all of the collected rings in order for the perfect bonus to count. You can lose your rings and still get it. It looks to see if any stationary rings are left in the level, and if there are none, you get the bonus. And as you said, monitors and slot machine wins don't count.
"Welcome to the Salty Spittoon, how tough are ya?" "I beat the Pit of 100 Trials in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door" "Oh yeah?" "During the Prologue." "Right this way, sir"
I want to apologize for the "Wily's Machines" challenge (again). The Wily Capsules were *not* supposed to be part of that challenge _and_ the player was supposed to have 4 or 9 E-Tanks to work with, but I guess Digital Eclipse had other thoughts. No boss weapons, though, because it wouldn't be much of a challenge, then.
In Super Paper Mario, I've once beaten the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials as soon as it was unlockable as a kid. I completed the first time without dying, screwed up the second time and did it again, only to lose to Shadoo in the third time, and having to complete it in a fourth time. I've spent a fricking weekend on this; I could've studied for my math test. Side note: after beating it, Bowser got so overpowered that the gameplay has gotten really boring from that point onwards.
They may be scary and possibly the scariest enemy but they are not the hardest due to how often they can run away and being 100% susceptible to fright, the hardest enemies are either Elite Wizzerds or Arantulas. Dark Koopatrols are up there too because of their insanely high HP, without Zap Tap Swampires are arguably the hardest enemy and are pretty resistant to most status, Poison Puffs are pretty bad too because of their charging, and regular Wizzerds are close too because they don't clone like other Wizzerds (so you can't cheese them by getting them caught in an endless loop of cloning by burning them with Fire Drive or Vivian) and can inflict confusion.
Something to help with these things im not sure if it applies in the original but in the remake they can be put to sleep with sleep stomp which gives you a solid 5 turns to deal with them or deal with anything else in the fight
