I also used to hold my baitcaster like that, but once I switched to palming the real it made a big difference in hook sets and controlling the fish when I do hook up with one. For me personally It works alot better.
I do both, I was getting repeatedly hit, by this particular bass, and kept getting hung up in tree branch, due to over pitching because I was choked up too close to the reel. I moved my hand further back to relieve, some of the trajectory path of the jig and never reset my hand position as a result. 99% of the time I palm my bait caster.
Yep, I believe it took 9-10 days to arrive (mailing list early access link) , usually only takes 3-5 days, from shipping notification. When I saw the ETA, it was definitely a WTF moment. I feel for anyone who's still waiting on their order. Funny thing though, I took advantage of the Seagaur sale and I had that in like 3 days.
Appreciate it and thank you for the kind words. Funny thing, I put a gold and orange bellied jerkbait to use a few days ago and hooked up with 6 bucket mouth's in less than an hr, and unfortunately, my GoPro had turned off. I didn't get a single catch on film. Talk about being frustrated. I'll try to see what's bitting next week. Take care.
@@ronaldroquemore665 I think they have something I believe is called Plum, which may be around what you're looking for, but don't quote me on that. The only way to know for certain is to have a look for yourself. They have some really nice stuff for very fair and reasonable prices. I believe if you enter TH10 in the promo code box, you'll save 10 percent off your order.
i dont mean to be offtopic but does any of you know a way to log back into an Instagram account?? I stupidly lost my login password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me.
@Wells Jeremias thanks for your reply. I got to the site through google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
On end stacking....brilliant! Can see the identification label, and fit more! Or use a permanent marker for easy reading for my old eyes. I use floating boxes on the kayak and jetski...this makes it more efficient! Thanks
Glad you liked it, absolutely love these speed bags. Be aware though, as I mentioned in the video, that your bulkier clamshell soft plastic paddle-tail swimbaits are going to be nearly impossible to fit the advertised amount in these. Metallic Silver Sharpie works great for labeling and categorizing your bags.
Technically you could, but doing so, could potentially cause your soft plastics to slowly warp out of their intended shape, which could potentially change the action of your lure. There's a reason why certain soft plastics come with packaged in clamshell containers, so the paddles on the claws for craw type baits and tails of swimbaits don't get all kinked up. Plus, you risk the probability of the colors bleeding together, though that doesn't really bother most individuals.
I think you were mentioning something about lids for canteen cups and I was wondering if you knew anybody who made a stainless steel lid for the BCB Crusader mug Mark 1
this is how rods should be shipped..I ordered a Rod on Amazon from Lews... was shipped in a squared crushed box with no filling. The Rod was fine but jeeez looked like a truck ran over it.
I’ve also the 765 flipping rod .. not just my opinion but it truly is one of the best jig rods . Perfect to keep the big girls pinned Cork seal - I can’t stress enough - only one coat only 😉
tracker fiend I read somewhere it’s one & forever done . My mistake was not reading the label the first time - put on 2 coats and it looked more lacquer.. not bad - just not as clean looking
Nice video, I like watching your tackle warehouse unboxings. I also prefer to reel on the left side with baitcasters. I can’t believe you haven’t used Shimano reels before. Pretty much all the reels I own are Shimano because they’re so nice. I have a curado dc, and I definitely don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
Hey man, I hope you're doing better! It sucks to hear that you had to put your dog down.. but dropshoting is a blast! Those dreamshot OPT's are amazing! And oh man that's a whole lot of terminal tackle! Keep it up! I just was looking at what people are ordering from TWH! Have a good one! 👊🤘👊🤘
Appreciate it. My dog lived a full 17 and half years! And over the past few weeks I've been doing better, she was such a sweetheart, so very protective of her family and never overly aggressive toward anyone, ALL bark and no bite, lol! Our soon to be 3yo son, still looks for her and doesn't understand that she is no longer with us in the physical sense. Caught a decent 3lb LMB on the Morning Dawn, with a nice coating of original formula Megastrike last week. Lost my weight during the retrieve, though. PB was caught on a Junebug Rage Hawg a few months ago....8.67 lbs! Freaking giant! I need to get an action cam and chest mount. The phone method isn't really ideal. I've been told there are several 10+ lb Monster's in the ponds! Average size is between 4-5lbs.
Lol! No worries buddy, it's a really easy mistake to make and I use that word lightly, all the pics available show the bags of soft plastics with the zipper running parallel with the speed bag's zipper and not perpendicular as shown. They work great. You can get an absolute ton of soft plastics in these and it's all contained in one nice compact package. I don't see how anyone could be burning through 20- 40+ packs/bags of craws, lizards, flukes etc in a weekend or even a week. I'm planning on getting some titanium tags on key rings with each type of bait and attaching through the loop/s on the ends of each bag for bait id. Keep me updated on how it works out for you. Tight Lines.
You are correct that infrared(IR) isn't visible to the human eye as IR radiation is electromagnetic radiation of which its wave lengths are longer than those of visible light seen by the human eye. However, IR by its very definition is radiated heat( i.e. thermal radiation). Humans and all living things generate radiated heat, which is visable upon the IR spectrum. IR is directly correlated to thermal radiation. It's just not visible to the human eye, without the use of thermal enhancement imaging, the poncho material blocks the IR signature that is emitted from thermal radiation of living things (i.e. myself, you, dog or cat, etc) thereby rendering anything with a differing temperature within surrounding area shielded and invisible to enhanced thermal imaging cameras and equipment.
limodrivermike I use it all the time. It's definitely not for the UL's but, for the durability and versatility and fire retardency it's great. You can roll and fit the whole poncho inside it's own hood and cinch the hood closed for a compact package. The benefit of the tabs vs grommets is a big plus because, if the tabs pull out, they're less prone to damaging the poncho itself and can be easily field repaired. Keep in mind, that because it's Polyurethane treated, it's susceptible to wetting out, because it doesn't breathe. But, it's been holding up great.
limodrivermike Glad I could help. They may have increased in price a little bit, but it's still worth it in my opinion. You can find them at www.bushcraftoutfitters.com.
cool poncho, i post a whole lot of bushcraft and survival videos on my channel and a bunch of other stuff! I would appreciate if you could check it out and subscribe! It would be appreciated a lot! nice video keep up the good vids! i subbed you!
The UL 10x10 tarp model in the video is no longer available, But the they still have a G2 Multicam model in various sizes that is much more durable and has additional fire retardants and is infrared compliant(hides your heat signature). The 10x10 model is $115(?)+shipping. It's also heavier due to a heavier weight fabric along with the additional fire retardants and extra PU coating. I'm planning on purchasing one of these models in the future and will then designate the 10x10 UL Tarp in the video to my backpacking kit.
Yeah, I think I did. I stumbled and bumbled my words a little as well, but It's my first video and I was a little nervous. Plus it's a lot to go over. Thank's for the kind words.
