Thank you for your time and effort to do this video. I find it very informative, too informative in fact, that it becomes information overload. I am way overloaded, and I still don't know how to get started! Many of us, especially those who stayed in for the long run, are used to SOPs and Desktop Procedures. Step 1. Do this. Then proceed to step 2. Step 2. If you elect A, do this and proceed to step 3. If you elect B, skip step 3 and go directly to step 4.....etc. That's is what we are used to, comfortable with, and will be able to follow diligently. Thank you.
Way can we not have regular appointments with our “doctor” I am 69 and can not get an appointment with my “doctor” until the summer of 2025. I know if you just see any old “doctor” they will tell you to make an appointment with your “doctor”. I am so disappointed with my care
SO Freaking confusing!!!!!!!! 24 years Air Force. Retired Military. Multiple Degrees and I still don't get this!!! Does the Guberment do this on purpose? I thought when I went in the late 1970's I and my dependent's would have Medical coverage for life. "They" lied!!!! Still don't get it...............
I'm a USAFR retiree and don't use Tricare as I'm self employed. Can I sign up for Tricare for Life when I sign up for Medicare A & B? Also, my wife is 2 years older than me. When she is eligible to sign up for Medicare A & B, can she sign up for Tricare for Life even though I won't be eligible for 2 years?
Do you collect a monthly military pension? Are you both registered in Deers? If yes to both, then you should already have tricare(wife should be paying small monthly premium from your annuity). Once you are properly enrolled in Tricare, Deers will automatically enroll each of you into TFL when you are in Medicare A & B.
21:50 has a tip to enroll “on Terminal leave” and she says you may enroll “90 days BEFORE” retirement. Neither of these have proven true for me. Additionally 28:38 how to enroll has 4 ways to accomplish this. The first 3 failed. While trying the “in person” method on terminal leave. I couldn’t get the representative to understand that I was on terminal leave, holding a DD214, and with orders…but wanted to enroll for a retirement plan. Apparently this training presentation is wrong or the information has not made it to Tricare East and Maxwell AirForce Base.
In my humble lay opinion the most pro active action people of South Asian descent (and others over 50 years of age or in risk groups) can take is to carry a 300mg dispersible aspirin in case of chest pains! ‘Immediate’ aspirin as it is called should be taken AFTER dialling 999/911 but BEFORE the first responder arrives (this is U.K. NHS protocol!) unless you are allergic to aspirin!!! It has been shown that taking ‘immediate’ aspirin reduces mortality by #23% and is thought to reduce consequential damage to the muscle. So when I go to the VA clinic for my annual physical, do I have to pay for that? I just turned 65 a couple days ago and my physical is on the 22 of this month.

Medicare is nice but not in Texasots don’t accept Medicare when I pay them . I’m 75 California Is great when it comes to to health care not Texan .Not much accept Medicare and want me to pay $$20 I don’t get it . Rip off I have both and one customer service in Medicare told me get advantage. That’s dumb I have dental fully retired pay tax . And traditional not accept Medicare in Texas . I was Shock California is great when it comes to healthcare if you are fully retired and pay tax. If you have many points the SS will call you to retired that’s how they do to me . I don’t need to be enrolled I’m entitled to have my tricare for life . But they complain said take long time to be paid . BS I told them you have billers send it right away you be paid . This administration is the most useless worthless administration. The low income is priority low life mf all mostly depend to governments. I don’t sign up they change my ID to indefinite. I have nothin to do the guard keep telling change your ID mam so after couple months i did go to PSD yes they said I have tricare begonia change to indefinite.
Great information as I was just starting to research this information with the time drawing near. The link for the slides unfortunately goes to a 404 error saying Forbidden Access. Finally after a year of searching for Medicare/tricare specific detailed information and over 15 hours of videos I found the information they all left out. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this presentation available here. I know now that next year when I turn 65 I will make the appropriate decision that will benefit me for the rest of my life. I now have all the answers.
Completely agree! - Over half of the men and women serving overseas are Guard and Reserve. They come back from deployments every other year, nearly and after you serve (20) years you get to pay what is now (Member + Family: $1,206.59/month). WOW!! you serve your country as a guard or reservist and get to pay $1200 a month for healthcare until you are 60!!
Disgusting how much they're charging to veterans for them and their families over 1,300 a month that's unacceptable considering people have gone to combat but our country and we will promise free health care for the rest of our lives this is a scam
It is disgusting that somebody who served 30 years is forced to pay $900 a month for healthcare after 15 deployments you guys were supposed to give us free health care when I joined in 1985 and when Tricare took over it ruined it for all of us because only 16 of those years were active duty and the rest was reserved time even though I had multiple deployments during operation Iraqi freedom enduring freedom and New Dawn $900 a month is not a reasonable amount to pay for a family
I am 76 years old and retired from the Air Force. How do I find out what plan I'm subject to with the cost. Then if I select to enroll in the dental program, what is that cost? And how do I elect to actually enroll in the dental program?
So let me see if I got this right. If I'm not drug-addicted but simply want to see a shrink for clarification (and perhaps even some deeper analysis), Tricare will pay for that?
sorry but thats wrong. we just saw where 60% who are in the hospitals had both shots. our local hospital only has 10 people in it with the vid and 6 of them have the shot and 5 of them have other issues. where is the triple blind test where is the white paper studies? it takes several years to do proper research on a virus. if you have a bad diet and a bad immune system your more likely to get a cold/vid etc thats from other doctors with lots of experience saying. noway no how am i getting a shot until proven not to have side effects that kill you.
So, if I take the jab can I return to the gym? Is anyone even TALKING about the retired community that got kicked to the curb as far as the military gym system is concerned? I was in the middle of level 3 rehab for a quad bypass. Not a WORD from the system about the retiree's getting that privilege back. You DO realize that your current enlisted SEE this, right?

More and more veterans will be committing suicide. You keep raising prices of tricare and we can no longer afford care. You walk into a va center and you can't get adequate care and/or you die from covid. Keep up the work . SUICIDE lines ok but vets driving in great numbers due to lack of care. Bottom line is you don't give a poop.

How about a segment on how you are now piss testing your patients in your Pain Management Program and threatening to deny service to them if they use marijuana, even if it is legal in their state and they have a doctor authorization?
