Lore reason for not using the sword: Raiden's blade is charged from cyborg electrolytes and there are no cyborgs, making his blade kind of useless. Gameplay reason for not using the sword: MGSV is a stealth game, not a hack-and-slash game.
OK, nobody else seems to have mentioned it, but you shouldn't be using a Hunter bow for damaging those heat sinks. Hunter bows are for tear damage, and you need to do impact to take the heat sinks out faster (unlike H:ZD, the hunter bows are really anemic for general damage-dealing). Load up the Gravesinger's Lament with crit and impact coils and you'll one-shot the heat sinks on normal difficulty.
So badass the theme of this game was plan to eradicate the super sayains, it was legit Japan exclusive at the time, watched it thru the disc itself once u beat the game . Good memories
Once you get the hang of it its a really good game But visual clarity can be really poor at times Which contributes to some of the jumps being extremely cheap and bs until you memorize them by heart
now i see why its mk1 and not 12 not only cuz timeline got reseted by liuuuuuu kang but also cuz they wanted LITERALLY refer to old mks first ones by their weird ass looks XD and now that makes sense why sub zero looks almost like original but younger and others too
