Most of today’s climbing media is focused on what happens at the edges of the sport involving the most experienced and talented climbers in the world. Your hosts Kyle Broxterman and Max Carrier believe that most of these stories and experiences do not directly relate to the majority of climbers that now exist. Thanks to gyms, the Olympics, and mainstream media coverage a vast growing group of people are now discovering this magical sport. As a part of this group, they are here to give this new Climbing Majority a voice. Tune in as they explore the world of climbing, through the lens of a non-professional climber.
Loved this episode, Tyler is so relatable. I share so many of these feelings, from balancing something you love with the realities and expectations of life, to the struggle of making sense of death and its relationship to the sport you love.. so good.
Great conversation! Gravity labs is one of my favorite channels, so cool to get a deeper dive into the life and mind of Brent. Keep up the great work Kyle and Max!
This video was super helpful to me. I'm prepping for The Nose now and I am obsessing about my systems and all of the little logistical considerations. It's really useful to Bryce and Evan's debrief. I'm in San Diego so the nods El Cajon mtn made me smile ear to ear. Thanks for the great content!
Myles is an Eastside legend and he’s an all around super solid dude. Always humble and always fired up to do cool shit! Stoked to be able to call him a friend.
holy shit! this episode is insane man. stumbled upon this looking for climbing podcasts and ill definetly be checking out the rest. keep on keeping on 🤙🏽
Hey! Thanks for reaching out! This episode WAS insane! Super cool to hear that Josh's story is getting around, he is such a rad dude. Enjoy the show! Please always feel free to reach out.
Thanks for the feature. I had a blast doing the interview. It was really nice getting to share some of my thoughts. Hopefully it inspires people to go have fun and be safe :)
Dude thanks so much for coming on the show! And again, I can't thank you enough for the time and effort you put in to making your shot and sound professional. Both parts to the episode are great and will be a benefit to the community.
Looking forward to part 2. Don't know Evan personally, only by way of the "route developer' community. Didn't know about those accidents, but it really makes sense that it would influence the way he goes about bolting new routes. Route development is often a very thankless job that the majority of climbers don't even think about. Spending your own money and time to bolt routes and replace old corroded hardware. It's not glamourous but it is an essential part of the rock climbing that everyone else gets to benefit from. It's great that you interviewed Evan.
I was blown away at how many routes he has created! We feel honored to share Evan's story and are pumped you enjoyed the conversation. Thanks for being here.
The conversation about selfishness was very important and it's refreshing to hear everyone's opinions. Life itself is inherently selfish, we should not feel guilty for pursuing the things that fill our lives with meaning.
this interview is so so good, Thanks for this..such a great story. Great interview , Great story....this man is on another level Love you Joshua Reinig Living his dream baby!
Hey thanks! Josh is such a legend and benefit to the climbing community. We were honored to have him share his story and are looking to do another interview at some point this year.

Can’t believe I said Limestone 🤦🏻♂️ I meant to say Sandstone!
I’ve been searching for anything related to Cody. I now realize I first saw a video of his on October (?), and I remember which one it was (have you ever dropped your atc to the bottom of the crag?). Thanks for this conversation. He is (I somehow feel he is alive somewhere) a beacon, somehow. Past two days have been somber somehow, when I learnt about his passing, keep on saying why!?, I am still processing. Thanks for this episode.
