I am a Pharmacy student, and I've created this RU-vid channel as a side hustle due to my passion to share knowledge. My goal is to empower and educate the public about their health, by sharing valuable health tips.
I strive to make sure that my contents are obtained from reliable source, and are science-backed facts. Finally, I try to present the content in an entertaining, easy-to-understand manner so that it makes sense to you even if you know little about the subject.
It will mean a lot to me if you subscribe to the channel, and be a part of my journey.
Disclaimer: This channel is for educational purposes only, so do speak to your doctor if you have any medical condition.
Thank you for the scientific way presentation. You forgot to mention how these supplements may interact with some camcer drugs. So, they might not help everyone.
This video would make me happy to know that there are no other videos disproving this theory and later new videos, of equally competent "gurus" disproving that, second video... and so on in a circle... so.... i am lost....
Massive control study years ago shows that people who eat a high fibre diet had the highest levels of constipation issues while those who didn’t consume any had none! I stopped eating high fibre foods years ago and have had no issues whatsoever.
"Dr." O'Neill is not a doctor of any kind. She has no credentials in any health-related field. She is a liar, a fraud, a con artist and a quack. Look her up in Wikipedia for details.
When my so was born, we came home from the hospital with bronchitis and colic. I gave him a little fennel tea in a bottle between feedings. He recovered quickly from the brochitis and stopped having colic. A little goes a long way.
She is not a medical doctor, she is an unqualified quack. While some things she says are true a lot is wrong and goes against actual scientific evidence.
Is there is a more nutritious and wholesome fruit than the avocado? I bet no. Lets embrace eating avocados in plenty because they are way better than the commercially over-processed foods.
I take daily fennel supplement capsules to battle my acid reflux. It is very effective and I actually got this remedy from a pregnancy website, suggesting it is safe.
I have a allergy like itchiness of skin on any parts of my body but I don’t know if this what you called Latex allergy, & I like avocado very much that I consumes 1 whole of it almost everyday after buying like 8 pieces, what can you advice me about this problem. Thanks!
Just because he wears a white coat and a stephascope doesn't make him an authority on nutrition. Doctors don't have any nutritional training in Medical School. Zero. The fact that "Dr Gregor" claims authority on this basis makes him questionable in my mind. While anyone can read and quote studies (and should) the statements that are not a result of the study are as valid as anyone else reading the study. I would also say Gregor embraces some studies filled with junk science. I would say please take his advice with a critical eye, and review the material he is quoting from to form your own understanding of the findings.
I have been taking turmeric supplements and adding turmeric powder to food. Best case scenario it helps. Worst case scenario it does nothing. So I have nothing to lose.
There are several studies on the effects of pomegranate and lycopene on cancer cells if you know how to reference The National Library of Medicine. It took me two seconds to find a study from the NCBI on this when I used Google. The following is an excerpt from the NCBI from the paper "Pomegranate for Prevention and Treatment of Cancer: An Update" but I recommend you go directly to the library and read the entire study yourself. "Studies have shown that pomegranate and its constituents can efficiently affect multiple signaling pathways involved in inflammation, cellular transformation, hyperproliferation, angiogenesis, initiation of tumorigenesis, and eventually suppressing the final steps of tumorigenesis and metastasis [14,23]. The pomegranate constituents are shown to modulate transcription factors, pro-apoptotic proteins, anti-apoptotic proteins, cell cycle regulator molecules, protein kinases, cell adhesion molecules, pro-inflammatory mediators, and growth factors in various cancers (Table 1). In this review article, we first discussed some of the polyphenolic constituents and mineral ions present in pomegranate, and we then discussed studies on chemopreventive/chemotherapeutic properties of pomegranate against different types of cancer, such as skin, breast, prostate, colon, and lung cancers in cell culture systems, animal models and humans." -NCBI
