In Tyrone among the bushes, between Dungannon and Benburb, Derryfubble FLUTE Band was formed in 1928. It was closely connected to Derryfubble LOL. 49 in that many band members were also lodge members. Almost 40 years later, in 1962, it was decided at a Lodge meeting that the flutes should be replaced with accordions and so Derryfubble Accordion Band was born, with a readymade membership. At first it consisted of mainly button key accordions but over the last 20 years it has evolved into a mainly piano accordion band. There is still one member of the old flute band who plays bass in the accordion band today. Very few of the present members of the band are Lodge members but the band is still supported by the lodge and is honoured to lead them at their parades.
Band Practice is held on Thursday nights at 8:30 in Derryfubble Orange hall.

I took part in this RAPC parade in my RAPC collarette in my position as a RAPC lecturer althoigh I am from Co Londonderry. Derryfobble Accordion Band played brilliantly and it was good to see the Brethern marching behind. All too often the camera is turned to the back of the band as it passes and the Brethern/Sir Knights are forgotten about. I know that these videos are primarily for people interested in bands ie accordion bands but is it too much to ask to see the Brethern/Sir Knights that they are leading? WELL DONE to the band, Brethern and, last but not least, the camera user.🪗🎵💜⭐⚰️🕯️🕯️🕯️⚓🌞🌜👁️🐐🙏
