The official RU-vid channel of the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation. The Foundation was set up in 2017 by Scottish Rugby legend, Doddie Weir and friends following his Motor Neurone Disease diagnosis. It aims to raise awareness and funds to find a cure to MND and support sufferers of the disease.

Great video John and so many things well said. I also like the fact that you took the time to mention people who find themselves diagnosed with a serious condition and in a difficult social position 😢 Doddie was a real character, I saw him play many times. I also remember the 97 Lions, wow what a squad. You and Doddie larger than life and by God life is to be lived. What a fantastic rugby shirt 👍 thanks again. Condolences to family and friends, may solace and peace by found, memories cherished. Big Doddie, Scottish legend 🏴 R.I.P
This piece was performed by Hadhirgaan, the Kirkwall Grammar School traditional music ensemble, yesterday evening as part of the school's annual KGS Carol Service. Under the inimitable direction of their teacher, leader and mentor Douglas Montgomery, it was a heartfelt and emotional tribute. As a rugby fan, i just about managed to keep it together amongst a packed cathedral audience. Well done Hadhirgaan, Douglas and KGS. Your excellent musical offerings are always a treat for the soul
Nick, are you sure they are not the hot chillies I gave you from the Langholm Chillifest? Maybe you gave them to Dougie & he dried them. They were reapers, scorpion etc. 😂🌶🌶🌶
Doddie was the guest of honor at the opening of the Annandale Distillery in Annan, Dumfries, in Scotland. Try their whisky, do the tour. The owners support Doddie's foundation. They also operate The Globe Inn. Good people.
The humble Doddie Weir, what a man. I'll never forget the way his tour was ended by a horrible and nasty bit of thuggish behaviour by Marius Bosman in a midweek match. "mistaken identity, classic rugby courtroom answer", stay strong big man.
