I feel like the Broadway show is better because I think he movie they put less words like in carnival del barrio the Broadway show went “everything changes today..usnavi’s on his way..off to a better place..look at Vanessa’s face” and (this might me long) then “ everything Changes today..goodbye mr.Rosario I’m taking over the barrio” then the girls say “ we’re getting out of the barrio” and the movie didn’t
I’m so glad he mentioned them so many years ago and Ruben Blades recorded a song for the In The Heights movie and Marc Anthony had a small scene in the movie as well. That’s beautiful and just a show of why you shouldn’t give up on your dreams.
This has got to be the only live concert/performance where I find the people singing along to the songs endearing instead of annoying. Like, you can hear it in the video. Every single lyric? The people know it. Where to come in, where to laugh, where to sing loudly, shout, or answer back... it's awesome and precious. This show has truly touched many.
