The features look promising and would be an enjoyable user experience if it works. They need to bring it down to the cost of a midrange phone (with a revised model) or a top end foldable phone for the one with all the features and then offer it on some kind of payment plan like subsidised phone deals for it to take off like the iPhone did.
As someone who stumbled into developing xR five years back, this is everything we’ve been waiting for, and can’t wait to start developing with it. It will be the iPad Pro replacement, not the iPhone replacement everyone is claiming. There’s design and pricing issues, but for everything that it’s claiming (and those who’ve tested it). It’s the early adopter price, and to begin the buzz so in the 2-3 years when they can start mass producing these bad boys, it’s already been normalized. Just glad they initially nailed the mass consumption pitch. While I love gaming, it will never get near iProduct mass appeal.
I asked myself the same question and I think the answer for me is : a phone, a laptop, smart watch, and a cinema tv that I have always wanted in my house (except now, i can use it anywhere I go) in one device. All of that and being a part of the experience that ill be talking about if apple delivered at lest 90% of what they promised when I grow old and feeble. "back in my days" lol
It’s a computer. People will use it for all the same things we use other computing platforms for: productivity, communication, entertainment, education, wellness. Like all platforms it will have its own set of strengths and drawbacks. It seems like it will excel when you need display flexibility, focus, privacy, or immersion and are in safe, semi-private setting. It can portray any kind of flat 2D content in infinitely resizable, hi-res, floating displays. 3D content is convincing and in your physical space, including spatial audio without headphones. “What is it for?” It displays any image and any sound anywhere while you can still see reality around you, you interact precisely and intuitively without needing controllers or input devices. The possibilities are nearly endless.
AppleVisionPro has a M2. So for me it is a mac on your head with 4K screens and all these. So, I believe even at 3500 it will be a big product. I was so excited I did a playful video on it and have some more ads for it to upload: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Qqjr5Se4pTM.html
I dont know if i want a mac glued in my head ...all the time , M2 gets hot on demand and oh boy 3d realtime renders are demanding😅i dont know i want to work with flying windows in my room with a hevay headset, learn a new workflow for my work , lear to Not Use a Mouse and all of that for just 3,500 plus taxes wow..sooo😊
@@noway8233 Good point. They didn't show any heaving processing use case. It was entertainment, communication, office work and some gaming. I'm good for that till the technology becomes better.
I have a question for you. I have a 1DXII. Can you tell me how you would set up your 1DX for a longer shoot and not run out of storage space on the Cfast cards? Let's say I had to shoot a 6-8 hour wedding, birthday, or event. Would I need to buy several of the 512GB Cfast cards? That of course can be pricey, so I was wondering what you suggest?
I mostly shot weddings with mines. For weddings I didn’t shoot in 4K the files were huge even with large cards. Any commercial shoots I had, I had someone back footage up to a SSD during the shoot if cards got full and frequently rotated cards
With the c70 I feel you man! Maybe keep it around for photos? Haha, or something you take around with you everywhere you wouldn't otherwise with a c70. It's rumored canon is going to announce a mirrorless 1dx-styled camera (the rumored R1) that might be an interesting companion to the c70! Both RF mounts!
I got the ii also. Waiting to the end of ‘21 to make a decision on what else to buy from Canon but I’m keeping the ii. Looking at getting a dedicated EOS C.
