👋 I'm Tom! I mess around with electrical circuits for a living but when I'm off the clock, I'm all about e-bikes. I've always had a thing for bikes but as I've gotten a bit older, e-bikes have brought a whole new level of fun to my rides. Want to explore this electrifying world with me? Hop on, and let's ride into the future of biking together! 🚴♂️⚡🚴♂️
*Brands*: If you want me to review your product on my channel, please e-mail me.
If Pima county is just a small loop let the e-bike pass through, most who used it are those old folks. It’s a. Great exercise which is better mental health, doubt it will lead to lung problems. Let the people enjoy the view, the world. At one point, we were not sure if all GONNA live or die during the PANDEMIC.
It is Menomonie to Dunnville, Downsville is part of the trail, but only 8 miles from Menomonie. Great place to stop and shop and eat. There are no businesses in Dunnville.
Thanks for sharing your adventure. Are people allowed to walk their bikes on the boardwalk paths in the park? I understand riding them on boardwalks is prohibited but I'd feel comfortable keeping my expensive bike bike my side.
Thanks for watching! I try to make sure the axle nuts and washers are as lose as possible, line up the brake rotor with the gaps in the pad and get the wheel to “bottom out” in the fork, then tighten the axle nuts. Hopefully the brake rotor is pretty straight and the front brake needs minimal adjustment. Hope this helps! 👍
This was so great. Thank you for the review. This tipped our decision towards this bike. My bike was stolen this week. Do you have bike lock suggestions?
Thank you for watching! The best lock is what it takes thieves the most time to open or cut. Probably a large U-bolt type lock and a cable would work best. Something like this: amzn.to/3w0dgOo. Thank you for the encouragement and I hope this helps! ⚡️🚴♂️⚡️
I'm 5'4 and need to commute 4 miles to work on mostly throttle, some hills involved My current regular bike takes me 45 minutes and I'm exhausted upon arrival Any recommendations?
Thank you for watching! As for the height, stay with a step thru model of any e-bike. As for riding the equivalent of 45 minutes on a non assisted bike (15 miles), would be no problem on any decent rear hub motor e-bike. Stick with a push throttle, not twist. 750 watts (that usually peak at 1000) is far more then adequate. I was impressed with this e-bike. Good power and battery, UL certified, 750 watt motor, and hydraulic disk brakes. For under $1000. Not bad. Thank again! 👍⚡️🚴♂️⚡️
Well Done Video!.. thanks for the Helpful info.. Wild Goose Trail that goes from Clyman area, all the way to Fond duLac.. guessing its over 26 plus miles, great views,Path is an old railway, its well maintained and improvements / updates being done all the time!
The Loop bike path has nothing to do with Tucson. It was built and is maintained by Pima County. The majority of Tucson's path are not fit for an automobile. Please give credit where credit due!
I just bought what i was told was 2 super 73s i didnt know a knockoff existed. Im pretty pissed about it. But your video shows some decent qualities..not sure what my options are at this point. You say accessories are compatible with the real super73s?......
Nice video. I live in the Milwaukee area and have ridden a lot of these. I have got to get to Madison this year and ride the Capitol city trail. I think you missed a great trail ( Bugline trail) that starts in Menomonee Falls. It is 16-17 miles long and is beautiful. I loved riding the Elroy/Sparta trail in 2018. There is a lot of history on that trail. I have ridden the Bearskin Trail twice and I really liked it. For the last 4 years I have going to Minocqua and Boulder Junction to ride the Heart of Vilas County Trail System. I absolutely love it up there. I think it is the best biking in Wisconsin. The Manitowish Waters Bike Trail is my favorite trail. I ride the Hank Aaron trail almost daily in the good weather. It is a very nice trail that hooks up to the Oak Leaf trail down by our lakefront. Wisconsin has a lot of great biking options. .
I’m looking for a derailleur guard for mine. When you loaded it into the Corolla did the derailleur take any weight? I wasn’t sure which side to lie it on when folded
Thanks for watching. I think any derailleur guard that would fit a Shimano Altus would be fine. The mounting is pretty typical. I didn't think about the sides when I put it in the Corolla, but I tried it again, and most of the weight was on the crank and folded pedal. But in the future, I will put it in rear disk brake side down. Good catch! 👍👍👍
@@everythingebike you need a derailleur guard for e-bikes due to the wire. They have a notch the wire can slide through. And the shape of the frame seems like we’ll need a specific one. I’m waiting to see if ride1up will offer one. Apparently newer models are suppose to come with a guard and a bell but I’m not 100% sure
I still think an item like this would fit to protect the derailleur. amzn.to/3OzoE9S. The derailleur is mounted on a hanger. I think what you’re saying is you also want to protect the power wiring to the hub. Here’s another idea: www.geohandguards.com/product-page/derailleur-guard-by-geo
Thanks for an excellent review on a great looking bargain bike. The 130 lb welded rack makes this a suitable cargo bike! and only 60 lbs total wt makes it easier to fold up and get it into a car...
Yes Tom, Always great to see affordable super bikes with multi-use options. This SPANKS Lectric bigtime! 750W motor and 14ah accessory battery makes this a viable 35 mi commuter! I highly recommend the Suntour SR SP12 Suspension seat Post. Under a Cloud 9 saddle, it's like magic!
Thanks for watching! That would be an awesome trip! Just be careful in major cities. Hopefully you can connect up between bike paths and rails to trails. 👍👍👍
We love our e-bikes and have enjoyed many miles of trails here in Colorado. Now it seems I have a few more trails to add to my list as we travel the country. 🇺🇸
@@everythingebike one of our favorites is the Dillon Reservoir RecPath in Dillon/Frisco, CO. This trail also connects to a paved path that will take you into Breckenridge and the Ten Mile RecPath that parallels I-70. There’s another great path in northern Colorado called the Poudre River Trail that runs between Greeley and Windsor. I’m told it will soon connect to Fort Collins trails as well. There many more, but these might keep you occupied for a few days. Happy peddling 🇺🇸
Thanks for watching! It’s an AKEZ branded motor. Since it uses an M1 LED display and controller, I suspect it’s a 750W Bafang designed motor, made in house. It’s a good motor. Simple and strong. Peaks out at around 1100W. I might be reviewing its big brother soon. Double the power. Be sure to subscribe!

The Pima county website says e-bikes aren’t allowed, was thinking of visiting Tucson, think I will bring my e-bike anyway. Seems to be a grey area. I’m sure as long as you’re using pedal assist and Not going too fast it shouldn’t be an issue.
@@kevloos86 It is confusing. My understanding is the unincorporated area of Pima county loop portion might be an issue. That would be a very small portion of the loop. The rules are changing where you can ride and most of it is open to an ebike. There is a somewhat new Arizona law that states that an ebke is not a motorized vehicle. So when you see signs that state no motorized vehicles allowed, it does not pertain to an ebike. Still trying to figure it all out myself.
Look up the State's definition of motorized cycles. E-Bikes AND gasoline powered bicycles are LEGAL on the bike path, as long as the State's power/size levels are adhered to. Information from others here that differ from this are incorrect. I have ridden gasoline powered bicycles on the path FOR YEARS. Just be respectful and careful of speeds, regardless of motor type, use a muffler to be respectful of others if using a gasoline engine, and IGNORE anyone on the path that doesn't like it. The State rules apply to this public path, not those that are uninformed. Those that want to complain about your motor use, prior to looking up the applicable laws, are arrogant and rude.
Thank you for watching! You’re absolutely right. As a part time resident in Tucson, I should have included The Loop. I’m going to film a video on The Loop next week, and do some filming around the Catalina Foothills demonstrating and riding a new cargo bike. Thanks for catching the miss! 👍🚴♂️⚡️🚴♂️
Thanks for watching. The bike exists by its name: offerup.co/ZPapSSnfEFb facebook.com/marketplace/item/1695238014219060/?mibextid=2JQ9oc facebook.com/marketplace/item/664320565772207/?mibextid=2JQ9oc
I want to do a tour: i have a recumbent Etrike with a Solar charging system.. the first tour i tried to do out of Portland OR to Coeur d'Alene, i plotted on Komoot.. (a useless mapping tool) as it didn't mention that 30 miles into my route i would be met with 2 flights of stairs.. Not possible for a disabled rider.. I have not been able to find a "route planner" Or cycling map that can identify stairs... Disabled riders need to know if there are stairs on the route.. That is called a dead end... and it discriminates against disabled riders..
Thanks for watching. You may want to try the Adventure Cycling Association www.adventurecycling.org/routes-and-maps/adventure-cycling-route-network/interactive-network-map/. It is the best source for long-distance bike touring maps throughout the United States. Hope this helps! 👍👍👍
Well, the sardonic commentary was nearly as graphic as the unchallenged beauty of my favorite National Park. You must be and English Major. I was wondering, was there any allowed off pavement trails in the park for eBikes.. Video was exceedingly beautiful, but what a subject. Zion never fails to awe. Zion Flux _ kg m−2 s−1 Thanks for the post. What is next.
Ah, Zion! Where the beauty is as vast as the rules are strict. No off-roading for e-bikes there, sadly. Keep it on the pavement, folks. Me? An English major? Nah, more like an art major who got lost in an engineering lab. Up next: the Tucson Loop, plus e-bike reviews with a side of my usual irreverence. Stay tuned! 🚴♂🌄🔋
Thanks for watching! It’s probably the front disk rubbing against the brake pads in the caliper. The caliper has two bolts holding it to the front fork. If you turn the e-bike upside down or hold the front wheel off the ground and spin it, you can loosen those bolts, adjust the caliper until there is no more noise, then tighten it. Hope this helps! 👍
