I am fine with this if it is a marketing strategy. However, don't hide the fact that AI will soon take over the coding and billing process. I have worked as a clinical coder in India, UAE and UK since 2010, and am now working in a private company developing AI coding tools. It is clear where it is heading with the latest coding and EPR tools. Coders aren't going to have an everlasting career in medical coding.😢
So u r thinking that only medical coding will affect with AI? All industries will have effect with AI after 10-20 years. That means jobs will not vanish and people wil be jobless. At that time also jobs will be created and can be achieved if the skill gains. Similarly Medical coding also. AI tools will surely help coding to do more easy. But in healthcare each person’s health symptoms are different and which cannot 💯 machine can learn. Repeated things can only teach to machine. So in which industry you think that safe without any effect of AI and Machine learning. One more thing, jobs that paying good not were there before 25-30 years back. These current era jobs created when technology comes.. Means no one is jobless and opportunities are not came down. Only thing is skill problem.. 😊👍 So improve skill to excel in career.. ✌️
It is fine to say all these things for argument's sake, but if you are up-to-date with Clinical Informatics, you know exactly what the truth is. Not everyone will lose their jobs, but manpower will be drastically reduced. I am concerned about those newly graduated kids who are picking this career now and then finding that they have to change careers when they get to the peak time of their employment with lots of experience and expectations. Likewise, I understand your business perspective. ✌️
