The cutter fits directly into the straight edge to make for an exacting cut. That would be Logan 424-1 Team Cut. This includes the cutter, straight edge, and a special knife to make straight cuts. All for $55.00 + shipping. You will want extra blades. One blade is best to be used on 4 ply 8x10 cuts to make 2 complete windows. THe blade will still be very sharp, but you will stand much more of a chance of tearing as you cut.
Hello. A slip sheet is just a fancy term for a throw away piece of matboard, which should be at least the same size as the board you are cutting. You want your cutter to slice just very, very slightly beyond your matting. There is a screwdriver location in the middle of the device on the back side that will adjust your depth of cut. So the slip sheet takes the extra cuts rather than your table.
