say what you will, but id rather watch THIS kind of film than ANY of the overblown, violent, noisy, and rudely written movies today ( or last 10 yrs ) its interesting and more like things you CAN see in everyday life, if you really LOOK...
I like to think I'm a good guy caring about my fellow humans ... but going to the dentist for someone else is a bridge too far ( i did laugh out loud )
Marty probably taught him how to hold a guitar pick/plectrum. Marty was a stickler for keeping the wrist straight when strumming (which Kilbey appears to be doing) such that one's thumbnail is registered with the first knuckle of the index finger, not using the fingertips. After Marty held forth on this in 1990 or so, I changed the way I played. That said, such a great song.
In 1992 I lived in Rome for a year. I loved Stevie Wonder so my Italian friend made me a cassette tape and labeled it Steve Wonder. Roberto calling Steven Wright "Steve" made me think of my friend Paolo.
also, the way Roberto laughs when Steven's going off on something that Roberto clearly doesn't understand like the Indy 500 or coffee pops. I've done that so many times in Spanish when I'm getting my haircut , I must sound exactly like this guy
The attack that Marty got - and the dreamy psychadelic drones of Peter - the best guitar pairing for me, ever. Saw them so many times. Marty was totally captivating live.
