Stuur me anders even een dm op instagram.
I have two of these machines, I've used the 5mm and see that the 4.5 mm cam is much bigger *physically*. I haven't had a chance to use the 4.5. Have u noticed a difference in hit because of the size differences in them? 5mm vs 4.5mm... .
Honestly i havent noticed that. But is the cam bigger or is the bearing bigger? The best way to check in to put on of each in the machine since you have two. And compare it with a needle while its running. I find it easier to see than to compare the cams
Not really. I prefer a direct drive because it is more stable and probably has a better long livity. Also if it does break down it is easier to replace. Plus most direct drive machines are easier to take apart. Which makes cleaning a lot isier as well
Well i try to keep my reviews neutral. Because dor most part a machine is personal prefrerence. For me personal the yilong f6 was the best. But this ofcourse is a personal thing
@@Tattoobart147 And between the ones in the videos, which would you rather use for finer lines? Or does the Yilong clear both of them when it comes to lines?
@bruhmoment9216 between the both i would go for the fold pro since its more versitile. Fold pro will beat the yilong. But the fold pro was not my favorite for fineline. For finelines i would prefer the fold 2 pro. But overall the fold pro is a better machine
I feel anything that has springs works best, so coils/ sidewinders. Even the low budget sidewinders from china can be beasts to be honest. I liked the defender on the 5mm stroke to for fat line. The high end version of that would be the avenger by vladblad (which i have not tried) i like my Wos e60 for bold lines too but that is a pen style machine. And even though it is strong, it does tattoo like a pen.
@@Tattoobart147 i only have penstyle machines and it’s difficult to find the same feeling as my old coil machine, thank you very much for your take on this. So Defender better than the OG produce ? And if i choose the OG P, do i have to do anything special to set it for cartridges ? It’s a lot of questions thank you for your time 🙏
@JohnnyB.Goode60 well i havent figured out which one is actually better. I do feel the Ogp vibrates less. But the defender runs smoother on a 5mm stroke. But probably next week i will really go in depth on the comparison of the 2 machines.
Hey man nice review as always ! im looking into get an dragonhawk I do like to fold 3 since tou reviews but I was looking at the new mast flip 2 and looks interesting , have you tried one yet ? havent seen any videos on it on youtube.
Hello, yeah i havent tested the maat flip 2 either. I could maybe have a look and see what i can do. I did see a couple of videos online about the machine. What i do know is that the fold 3 is a very nice machine to work with. 😁
Yeah very true. But if you have 2 batteries it works very well. I usually dont like to work with it with a battery on top of the rca connector. It makes the machine very long and uncomfortable in my opinion. Or do you want to use it wired?
i need help picking a machine as a beginner. i’ve done research on the ambition soldier, ambition mars u, dragonhawk x3, dragonhawk mast flip, and i keep seeing mixed reviews. i don’t know if i should get a pen with an adjustable stroke since 4.0 and higher is usually harsher on the skin. help!
Choosing a machine as a beginner is tough. A lot of different things will come into play. Like your style of tattooing, the needle sizes you are using and ofcourse your hand as well. Looking at the choices you have i would personally either go for the ambition soldier ambition mars or dragonhawk fold pro (or fold 3) i have reviews on all of these machines on my channel. Keep in mind that if you go for a stroke adjustable machine, dont change the stroke if you feel like you are missing power or your lines aren’t the way you want them to be. Always adjust your technique or handspeed first. (Always blame yourself before you blame the machine) if that makes sense. I hope this helped a bit. If you have any mire questions let me know
@@Tattoobart147 I just didn’t know if you had an recommendation for shading and line work needles. I got that exact machine but just haven’t bought needles yet until I know what sizes or whatever are good to go with
I'm just wondering if it's just me, but the printer looks almost 1:1 like the ATS 886. It's slightly modified, the button and the logo are from Elite, but it's 100% made in the same factory China built like the ATS 😅🤷🏻♂️
Yes the look very similar. But the print quality of the elite is better. Also it is faster than the first ats. The newest ats is also fast and had a ribbon. I will probably do a comparison video in the near future.
@@Tattoobart147it's not the printer that makes the difference. It only consists of a thermal strip, so you don't have to reinvent the wheel. What explains the slightly better print quality is the improved app, which controls the speed at which the printer releases the heat to the thermal strip, that's all. But for me that doesn't justify the 3 times higher price 🤷🏻♂️ try to find the ATS printer with your S6 app 😉😎
Great video bro! Hopefully they do improve the app. It seems like a great printer, these guys need that extra wow factor to really compete against other companies. I’d like to give them a chance in the future.
Can someone explain to me like with a coil machine 2.5mm is good for lining but coil machines it seems people go up instead of down like to a 4.5, or 5mm to line I don’t get it can someone explain
Because on a coil the stroke length changes mainly the speed of the machine. The power is changed by either the weight of the armature bar, the guage of the springs and the voltage that runs through the coils. I hope that kind of explains is a bit
Awsome I keep comming back to videos of this machine, I got the CNC Q2 it’s cool but runs at a low voltage and I just can’t get good lines but it’s probably the cheap needle cartridges, but also I kinda am getting bummed and want to go back to a coil machine for lining unless I can get a good rotary machine for about 100$ to line with, and I’ll prolly get this
Have you seen or heard of Dklab? Specifically, their Mizar model with adjustable stroke? I'd love to see a review on that. I wanted an adjustable stroke machine and after researching about 25-30 different machines (including yilong f8) I settled on DKlab's Mizar, and here's why: 1- It has the ideal stroke range for me (2.7 to 4.5) 2- light, and comfortable shape (33mm x 131mm standard cylinder pen shape) 3- easy to wrap and still access all adjustments without risking contamination. 4- Battery, although short/average life (4-6hours) has a detailed color readout, showing htz, and battery level by color. 5- fits aftermarket batteries well. 6- unique drive bar/mechanism (moves perfectly straight and smooth as butter). It's a very nice machine for about $210 usd.
That definitely looks interesting. I will have a look and see what i can do. Keep in mind that non of this style stroke adjustable pens have a drive bar. They all have a disc system. thanks for the suggestion. I will have a look in to this machine
@Tattoobart147 Thanks for replying. Maybe "drive bar" wasn't the right term. They normally have a swashplate that "wobbles" and presses a pin, which pushes the cartridge (that pin is what I meant by drive bar). This one has a swashplate too, but the pin that pushes the cardridge is part of a mechanism that slides back and forth in a groove, and which doesn't move at all if there is no cartridge pushing it backward. It's hard for me to explain in words, but if you saw it, you'd understand. It's a little different from other machines I've seen. I'm not really sure if this is an advantage, but it seems like one. I've subscribed, and I'll be keeping an eye out for it if you decide to do a review on the DKlab Mizar.
I am going to make a full review soon. I havent really got to test a lot of different things with it yet. I do feel its a very nice and light machine. It doesn’t vibrate at all. So if you do long black and grey sessions it would be nice for your hand. I think on a lower stroke setting it is very soft. But i havent got to test those yet. But i should have a review on this machine in about 1 to 2 weeks 😉
I dont think thats the case. I dont really need to warm up my hand before i start tattooing. It is also hard with practice skin, you cant really stretch it and this kind is pretty hard
Would you prefer fold 2 pro or fold pro or fold 3? I usually line with 3 or 5 rl and rarely use 7rl. But i use small and larger magnums like 9rm or 24rm.
It is a great battery with a huuuge problem. If you tattoo a long time with it you will notice that the magnetic clip moves all the time and the power stops when you are tattooing. So basically in a 6 hour tattoo session more than 15 or 20 times the cable will move from its place. Other than that, great battery and performance.
I used a 15 curved mag. I prefer curved mags over regular mags. The size doesnt matter to much for me. I do feel that for bold color i prefer a smaller needle (max 17mag) thats for watching🙏
@pewpew6666 what is always do is wrap the machine with a barier film and griptape to avoid the machine from getting dirty. Than after your session and removing of the barier film you can whipe doen the machine with a 80% or higher alcohol. This is what my H.D. Advices to do. Maybe things like bactine could work as well.
I have a question how is the vibration between defender and og product i have a Vlad blade avenger 2 but the vibration is a lot is the same like coils machine and with the battery is the same weight
The OG vibrates way less. Probably the same as a oen style machine. Even on 5mm stroke. I will make a review video about it and also a comparison video👌
i wanna buy my first machine, and i have a budget of around 140-150 for it, I think I would prefer something on the smaller and lighter side, but I don't have any experience, I currently have a lot of choices, like dragonhawk fold3, mast fold2 pro, ambition soldier, etc... what would you recommend? ( not just from the ones I said )
Hi ! Thanks for the review, I’m about to buy mi first machine but I’m worried for the durability and quality of those machines, after six months still working ?
This machine is great with the ink claw phoenix grip, which goes down to 3v. That grip is way more expensive, but I feel like it's worth it, especially with the added weight it gives. Much better for lining and packing.
