I was born in Scotland, worked in London for 10 years and have now lived in Chesterfield for 39 years. I endorse everything James says in this video and it is heartening to see the amazing future plans to develop Chesterfield in the town, the leisure industry and the canal basin. We also have fairly easy access to four international airports at East Midlands, Doncaster, Birmingham and Manchester
Really enjoyed the video. I came to Chesterfield in the 70's from Sheffield because of work and I've seen so many changes. The town has expanded, more people live here. Houses are being built everywhere. Changes to Vicar Lane. Saw Holme Hall built, Grangewood and others. People do want to live here. You have so much on your doorstep. Certainly the beautiful countryside. But, if Chesterfield FC don't buck their ideas up they'll be playing the Dog and Duck next year.
Great news! However, dump your cameraman as he has perfectly framed "invest in CHESTER" on screen and stood Mr Swallow infront of the full Chesterfield name. #schoolboyerror. Make sure your target audience invest in the right town!
I really hope Chesterfield gets to be a Portas Pilot town and I don't even live there. I was born in Chesterfield but shhhh no one needs to know I'm bias. ;) We love going to Derbyshire for a camping holiday and Chesterfield on market day is always a must for us because last time we went the market was easily the best I have ever been to. So come on Mary duck give it to Chesterfield because I want Chesterfield to be prosperous and a fabulous place for a day trip if your holidaying in the area.
