Great show....but I kinda liked THIS version of the ending with the "fire" at the end and one person (I think it was the same pitster who got so much coverage in the Don Quixote show)....having 2 of them throwing a bunch of girls into the flames and THEN doing the worshiping the fire on the knee bit lost a little punch compared to a single person doing it.
Ivan Diaz do u have discord or snap or anything? I wanna interview u bc I’m working on a documentary covering the history of Ocoee High and u have lots of vids on our band :)
STILL the sexiest ballad of DCI 2017. Give me a studio version, Boston. I BEG you. I would never stop listening. I mean I still do but that's different.
This was one of my favorite shows of the entire season to perform. There was so much energy from us on the field but it was also the first show we felt a huge amount of energy from the audience. It was so amazing
I remember watching this live in San Antonio and at the end of the performance I was looking at the person hanging on the far right and then I see this wall of flame and smoke come up. Such an amazing show.
drumcorps0junkie who pissed in your cheerios this morning? Don’t be salty at a core who literally jumped from 12th to 6th through hard work. You think all music is original? Crown 2016 stole from 93 Indiana...Blue Devils re-use music all the time. Don’t act like their show isn’t original and 6x better than last year. Sorry you got your panties in a bunch. Hate “fans” like you.
drumcorps0junkie indeed. I'm a fan of both Phantom and SCV, but really, how many years in a row did Phantom do the Bacchanale from Samson and Delilah, and SCV do Phantom of the Opera. Really great corps recycle old shows all the time.
OMG. Still in shock, show is tremendous. I know it is not fair to judge any corps by their performances in past years, but I honestly had no idea they could ever reach this level of performance. I am converted. GO BOSTON!
wow, first time watching and hearing this show. great job! amazing music. my only problem is, I believe all this amplified piped in stuff, vocals included, isn't adding to these shows. it is just overpowering the great music happening by the brass and percussion! great finish with burning at end!
there is still so much to this closer. zingali? there is at least 64 counts where we can re pentagram :) and have fun getting there. also... fire ... everywhere... hahahaa
sup SCV '98 music. oh man after checking out videos of the cadets for the past hour or so, it's so refreshing to hear a hornline playing like this. (thanks gino.) holy name sound like an open-class corps. 8:40 to the end of that hit twenty seconds later sounds amazing! eat em up! very confused by the narration i'm hearing and i hate singing in drum corps (including here) but hey at least the brass section sounds great.
truthviamusic the voice overs are not confusing at all. They are saying words like witch, hag, get her, she did it, women, vixen , hex, and it was her. All words or phrases they used back in the Salem witch trials. 😊
I don't usually like singing in DCI either, but the singer here has an amazing voice that fits well with the context. But the best part is that it's not really a feature player, she has another job as a cg member.
got it, i was probably doing myself a disservice by starting in the middle of the show the first time i watched it, haha. i was like....what the hell are all these names?? anyway, keep up the good work BAC.
UCCJGUY I'm not denying that the staff has something to do with how good they are. It's obvious that the staff has worked their magic. But in order for the staff to do that the kids have to be talented. Does that make sense?
Despite the rain delay, that was a great night and great performances all the way around. This was my first with my son who is in drum corp in h.s. Looking forward to seeing more of these!
He attends Steinbrenner H.S. here in Lutz, FL (essentially Tampa), and was the pit drummer this past year. He primarily played a 9-piece Pearl kit right in the center of the field. This year, he'll be doing bass. However, he's become very adept at the marimba, tenor drums and everything else. It's been fun to watch him develop.
D Aiken that's cool. Similar situation with my younger brother. He played set in 8th grade for marching band but he's marching lead snare as a freshman now
