OMG, yes she was raised in a lab, so that would be different. Lastly, No, Papa is not her real dad.
Did you pay attention to the first episode at all, she escaped from the lab that's why she is different and doesn't want to go back. Also, Hopper has been looking for Will all night, and he's not trying to help? You both really need to pay attention to what you're watching.

This show is based on the Montauk project and MKULTRA experiment it was veey real you girls are young so if you don't know what those are try really looking them up, a lot of people try to deny those programs existed but there is CIA evidence and real documents proving that those mind control programs really happened.

I am looking forward to you and your sister's reactions to this very popular Netflix series. If I could make one suggestion: please drop the reddish hue coloring on many of the scenes. It kind of makes it hard to watch the episode along with you, and will be very hard to watch upcoming scenes and seasons that are primarily done in a reddish/orangish hue. I hope you two do all the seasons of this great show, and it would be wonderful if you would consider reacting to the #1 World-wide Top-rated Netflix show, Wednesday Season 1, especially with season 2 scheduled to be released in a few months(?). Yes, prepare yourselves for an homage to the 80's horror movies. This series is set in the 80s, and in that time, kids stayed out late and parents weren't as over-protective as they are now. If you are too scared from just this first episode, then you'll never get through this season, let alone through to season 4. Don't be too hasty to criticize Hopper, there's a reason he acts the way he does.
There are a few movies you should consider watching if you haven't already seen them. Back to the Future (1985) to avoid spoilers, The Goonies (1985) is a family movie, The NeverEnding Story (1984) is a family movie, The Thing (1982) rated R and is a horror movie, and Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) rated R and this is a horror movie. The last 2 movies aren't required but would likely give you some understanding in later seasons. R rating is for 17 and over. Seasons 1 & 3 have 8 episodes. Seasons 2 & 4 have 9 episodes.
In the 70s and 80s, most parents weren’t helicopter parents. Especially those who were single parents living in safe suburbs. We would leave in the morning and come home very late. There wasn’t a lot to worry about back then.
