I live on the water in Bay City and fish the Bay and there are some big bass out there, sometimes it's like this and just hard to get on the big ones. Weather plays such a huge roll out on the Bay for sure, those nice sunny open sky days can slow the bite down quite a bit
I live in Linwood and fish the bay on a regular basis and do believe I would smoke your boots. Not an accurate representation of that thriving body of water.
@JVDOutdoors I saw a sneak peak of it on your kvd video the other day and it looks sharp, good luck this week at toledo. I think it's gonna be a great tournament
Correct, I was fishing for spawning smallmouth. Shallow ones were right up on the bank or near docks. The "deeper" ones were anywhere from 8 - 15 foot.
So just out of curiosity because I don't watch a lot of tournament fishing, hooked outside of the month is a no go and the weighing of the fish just on the honor system? How does verification work?
When sight fishing (looking at them) we cannot weigh them unless they are hooked inside the mouth. This prevents guys from snagging them in a non-sporting manor. The weights are recorded by an official live and sent to our official leaderboard, this way everyone competing is up to date on where they sit in the tournament. (similar to golf)
@@JVDOutdoors interesting! Was the gentleman with you an official? I noticed you repeated things and it seemed like you were doing it as a record. Hooked in mouth and the saying the weight out loud. Thanks for the response.
