The ammount of times i've listened to this can't even be counted, It is that good, Whenever im gaming anything you bet this cover is playing in the background! ^^
I’m glad the cover kept the bells, some people who write these covers don’t include them. Imo the bells are the supporting pillars that are present in everyone of DM Dokuro’s pieces. Removing them is a crime against his artistic genius, so thank you for including them. ❤
ecquin so im playing terraria calamity infernum and if u want to do another banger like this please do scars of calamity its alt theme of sCal and i think that its even better than the original i love ur music and u can see that there was a lot of work put into this and not just collabing with someone and doing this all in a week i wish u the best and will be waiting for more bangers like this!
woah i listened to the original one like 5 years ago and downloaded it cuz at the moment i was still a big fan of calamity lol, kinda grew out of it but this is great work!!
I played through Cal Master/Eternity/Death with a friend of mine last February playing as Miku so finding this gem with Mikus vocals for the fight that took us 5 hours to beat feels so perfect it feels like our characters' side of the fight
I'm like 7 months late to this.. but WOO!! Really loved this cover!!! :D I definitely wasn't expecting Miku for Lament and Epiphany, but it's still pretty nice! Even that small DoG callback in Lament.. loved it! I personally really liked the lower brass as well, and you definitely absolutely shredded with the guitar LOL Overall, AWESOME cover!! I really love seeing smaller channels get the attention they deserve with large projects like this, I'd say your 1 year of work on this really paid off, you deserve even more views than you've already gotten.. but I'm still glad to see the growth it's gotten regardless! Wish you good luck on future projects, you've got tons of talent! ^-^
HUEFIHJKHSEF THANK YOU!! This was probably both the biggest headache and the most fun project I had haha Im planning to put out some new covers but I've been so busy that it's kinda hard for me to </3 Im trying tho :D (thank you for pointing out the DoG motif HEKJLHAFAH)
@@ecquin1003 Ay, take your time!! Really does get pretty busy irl, but I'm sure you'll cook a banger when you're finally finished, good luck!! Definitely gonna be there for that! :D
I wonder how this would sound wirh the original lyrics on it? I like dokuro's singing and the fake choir a lot. In the case of the choir, it kind of masks how the lyrics dont make a lot of sense.
omg i was thinking the same thing! also the lyrics make sense when you break the song into its parts! Grief is Calamitas’s POV, Lament is the Player’s POV, and Epiphany is the world’s POV
Hold on... YOU ONLY HAVE 770 SUBSCRIBERS??!! HOW???!!! This is several hundreds of thousands of subscribers quality!!!!! This cover is actually heavenly. Truly awe-some, in every sense of the word. I love it, Well, bloody, done.
1:52 5:14 these putrid emotions begin to take control, such petty emotions have sabataged your soul... 5:36 is my fav 9:30 ...10:30 the gitar part is just crazy i love it, it reminds me of undyne the undying from glitchtale >>ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RBmleNz94K0.html
This is THE BEST cover of the OST I've heard, PERIOD! To my eyes, it perfectly captures the feelings I get from the original yet even adding more sounds, adding more depths... What REALLY sold me is how you put a brief moment of silence in the middle of Epiphany then followed by profound sounds, as if Calamitas was cracking emotionally just before showing her face, like if there was an actual moment going on there, like a monologue between the Player and her! I just can't put into words just how good it fucking is! Outstanding work dude You 𝘮𝘢𝘺 hear from me again one day, just putting it out here... I have a massive project related to Terraria and Calamity, and this piece is giving me loads of inspiration, just not at the 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 ;)
YOOO TY :DD I'm not sure if you heard my vocal cover version but that silence in Epiphany was meant for the lyrics in that section. When you do plan to do your project btw do tell :D I'll try to participate but if I can't, I'd be glad to see it!
Well, it’s gonna be an animated series entirely based off of Terraria and Calamity mod’s lore, and my comment relate to the fact I can actually make up scenarios in my head for the fight, its like your cover is already what I actually wanted for a Stained, Brutal Calamity cover for the fight scene, it’s long, sounds cinematic, doesn’t have the lyrics BUT I can still recognize the song in its entirety and if I want to even sing on it… IT’S PERFECT! Although the reason I wrote ‘Just not at the right moment’ is because I intended to basically ask you if I could use it in the show, but the thing is it’ll basically be at the end of the show, or at least very near the end… Oh almost forgot to add yeah I saw the vocal version a few weeks ago, but the instrumental version speaks a bit more to me than the vocal one to be really honest… And I JUST realized recently you made an instrumental version not long after the vocal one
I also gotta add that I have a Discord community server for the series development, but for now it is private on invitation only to a few people due to the series being wayyy too early in development, and the server also lacking moderators, a set of rules, and need some more polishing regarding the roles assigned to the team
That is amazing to hear man! Just so you know, you will be on my priority list of people to invite in my server once it is done and will have the proper moderation & stuff👍 Do you have a social so when the time comes I could DM you the invite link?
I presume it was made for Yharim back when Dokuro was still working on Calamity. To me, it felt like Yharim learning how much in danger he is now, especially after Yharon died (in past lore, he's immortal now iirc), so this arrangement was like Yharim sending Calamitas in after hearing of Yharon's death.
At first, I thought it might be another parody, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was a wonderful work! I truly enjoyed what you created. 😁
I really disliked some covers of Stained, Brutal Calamity due to them being just far from the original, which is of course pure perfection. The problem is mostly the vocals - in the original you get a full choir, in covers there's a guy trying to sing like one, which isn't really great. This is the best attempt I've seen to replicate the song with real life instruments and without a full orchestra + choir. And you've got me to actually quite like the song. I am honestly impressed. One note though, I am interested with the voice change in the Lament part, because it is quite the opposite of the original (it was choir into solo male singer, here we have solo male singer into a voice changer for high pitch voice, if that's the correct English word for that). But... again, to my surprise... I quite liked it. Considering your capabilities (without many instruments, one person), I'd give it a solid 8/10, a like, and if you keep going with Calamity covers, I will subscribe.
