I spent a week in Civita da Bognoregia..it’s a truly magical place..but not really feasible to do the round trip in one day…mainly because the bus from Orvieto takes over an hour and there are only a few buses each day
What is the name of the restaurant at the 4:58 time stamp? We ate there and loved it but I cannot find it on the map and I cant make out the street name. They had the best sandwiches.
Nope...if i'm going to pay that much for one room... I do better staying my butt in America...I have too much stuff...I need at least two bedrooms...I don't have a choice...most likely living a little further away will be less expensive...I think that it's probably better to buy a house instead of renting!!! I wouldn't buy it in Rome... it is better to buy it in a close by City and take a train to Rome if you really need to see Rome...if your rent is 2-3 thousand a month just multiply that times 12 months..you can purchase a small apartment or house and it might need a little fixer up but at least it's yours and you can fix it to your liking
Hello, love your videos I’m considering moving to Italy, and I would be grateful if you were able to have a chat and if you give me some advice, please
You're right, in Italy there's a lot of unemployment, specially in the South, where, in some cities, the rate is higher than 34% (in Sicily), but the situation in the northern Italy is a lot better, in some cities, like Brescia or Trent, the rate is less than 2%! Also the salary in the southern Italy is lower than the Northern, in Naples the av. salary is 21,000€ per year, and in Milan this is 75,000€, and in some neighbourhood is higher than 95,000€ (105,000$), a big difference! Very good video! 😃
It’s always been my dream To Move to Italy and I hear a lot of negative things about the major cities, so my question is where’s the best place to live where it’s more countryside like ? And are there any cons to living on the countryside?
Hi Kenya, great video. As a presentation Zoom coach, may I suggest raising up your lap top so it is eye level. Your background and you are beautiful! thanks!
Where did you study in Rome? How do you enroll in classes? My consulate (also Houston!) got back to me saying they need an enrollment letter with specific dates? I went to undergrad in the USA (graduated two years ago) and now going to grad school in Italy, I don’t know how to get that
I think it's definitely genetic! I live in Austria and have family in Germany, and there are plenty of men here who are more of the larger type of build than the smaller/more slender Italians! But personally, I like smaller men. :)
hello, which one is trusted one. and are you living in rome? im actually interested looking at housing without app and hoping maybe you would be like the agent (?). cause it would be cheaper for me. dont worry we will pay you a fee
I have been watching you over the years, and your transition and growth has been evident and inspiring. No matter where you go, you take you with you.I would be curious how you and your husband have adapted as an interracial couple. The US places great emphasis on race, is this the case in Italy? Tfs and continue success with your endeavors! 😊
I appreciate your support! It means a lot. Honestly, I've been in my relationship for many years that sometimes I forget about the differences or how others may look at us from the outside. I have always said that in relationships of any kind (romantic, friendships, etc.), it's about two souls connecting rather than the color of their skin. Of course, I'm aware of how society often emphasizes race, especially in a divisive context, but with open communication and mutual respect for experiences, navigating through any external influences or negativity has proved to be the key for me. I hope that sheds light on my experience!
Italians work 48 hrs a week? Does it include the so-called mandatory "siesta"?? This tradition is apparently still common around rural areas and small towns. If You take into account the fact that they work 8hrs a day + 1-2hrs of siesta, that would make sense. Siesta is not included in a daily wage, right? That would be crazy. :)
Thank you for this video. It is so helpful! I’m thinking of a trip to Italy ( Milan, Lake Como, Rome, Bari, Venice) will I be ok traveling with a carry on? 💗 Hoping to do mainly train journeys.
I’m not sure how much you pack, but if you keep some plain colored capsule pieces you can rotate and pair together, it might be possible! I’d probably need at least a travel backpack as well. Haha! 😆

I really love your video, K... It's so rare to have people like you talking about Italy without boasting how great is the food, the wine, the espresso - - oh - and the parmesan
you can get a house for one dollar in a village small town peaceful quiet and cheap cost of living.... You can find the same in USA in some bits of the Arizona desert
There is also the opposite of "mani bucate" which is "braccio corto". When you re cheap basically your arm is so short that you can t give money to anybody with your hands making you "braccio corto".
"Avere le serpi / i ricci in tasca" "To have snakes / hedgehogs in one's pockets" When someone is so miserly that he avoids putting his hands in his pockets (to pay) like if he had dangerous beasts in them...
