I just finished the full loop. Incredibly lucky because it seems to be going through an extended drought. Very little mud and low creek conditions. Good move turning around, the descent on Green Mtn to the creek was s brutal, even in good conditions.
@@dougcolafella9384 awesome, glad you were able to complete the loop! We think about that hike often, still wondering how or where we went wrong. Not sure if we were even on the right trail at the end there or maybe just an animal path. The conditions were rough so I still think it was a good decision to turn around. Have a great day and happy trails!!
@@ottmountain733 you were probably on the right trail....it was really tight in places. Especially a narriow section of Green Mtn where there was a huge timber rattler on the trail that was choked in on both sides with rhododendron. Had to quietly walk past just a few feet from the big guy....he just looked at me and let me pass on by!
Its always nice to see people loving my home❤ alot of people hate on us for dumb reasons like not moving they don't realize this is our home we've been there for generations thats the life my family knows who wants to restart their life and learning things you've never had to do? Its like when you accidentally restart a game you get mad about all the progress you've lost😅 my family is incredibly smart in their own ways yes we don't have smart phones or anything up to date but here's a fun fact that we are capable of doing while you need a weather app to tell you the weather we need none of it we can smell the morning breeze and know if it's going to rain and when it's going to happen we can look at the clouds and know when we have to come back home we taste the salt sea and know what direction the fish are going to be when we say it'll be a clear day we can feel the direction of the wind and the heat in the air and know that by four in the afternoon there's gonna be rain we may be old fashioned but our old fashioned ways help us in life❤️
SOME OF THE OFFICERS COME FROM THE ENLISTED RANKS U.S. ARMY N MARINE CORPS ESPECIALLY COMBAT EXPERIENCED NCO'S CANADA DRAWS ON THE ENLISTED RANKS FOR OFFICER'S
Hey 👋 I’m going to Cabo in august I didn’t know they have hurricanes I’m scared to go now 😢 but I’m glad I can get a glimpse into what it might be like ❤thank you for sharing 🎉
First Lieutenant Lauren Walter Standring G BTRY, 3RD BN, 11TH MARINES, 1ST MARDIV, III MAF United States Marine Corp Reseda, California November 17, 1943 to July 22, 1970 Incident Date June 29, 1970) Lt Standring was the FO and was attached to Lima Company 3rd Battalion 7th Marines in the AO of the Que Son mountains. He was medevaced to the USS Sanctuary where he was treated and a month later died of his wounds. Semper Fi.
Ed gives serious clinging on to his frat days but is in his mid 50s vibes. Oh and the accent you're doing is cringe and couldnt look more like a tourist
@@jimmysummers869 So they are not Marines until they grad is that when they rec their EGA unlike enlisted that rec after the Crucible a week before. second question do the officers do a Crucible? well its not my place to question officer training or traditions. OOrah
Thank you for capturing your experience. I’m about to tackle this course in less than a week and I’m feeling better about knowing what I’m getting into
Oh man you’re gonna have a BLAST!! I wish we were running it again this year. The main thing is to just have fun and enjoy! This is unlike any marathon we’ve ever run before…and one year later it feels like a dream.
@@ottmountain733 this will be my second, first since 2017 which was run on the outer banks of NC - I’m really looking forward to it! Not sure I will ever run another one but cool temps and fall colors, it’s looking ideal this weekend!
@@aarynryan3780have a great time! Might be our last marathon as well. Last year the training really took a toll. We had the tropical storm during our run so hopefully you’ll have amazing weather!
