Lovely. What year is this? I have been trying to find my old bike, which was a GSXR400 RR in black and gold with twin exhaust and the same things written on it as yours has. Mine was a 1990 or 91 or 92 I believe.
@@GSXRRizla I'm probably about to take the clutch back out today inspection everything got new friction plates probably need to clean my burnt steel plates look black and blue other than that probably jump to the other side to the adjuster screw Trying to get my motorcycle into gear to ride
Not perfect but learning all the time.. Should have used a yellow or white primer and would have used less paint.. Got through 30 cans and I think I could have used another 3 to really finish it off... Will flat and polish in a few weeks..
I know this is an old video but really hoping for a reply, did you change the clutch out because how jerky the original clutch is? I just got a srad and seems like something is worn or loose sometimes when hammering on the throttle seems jerky or clunky sometimes.
Hi Ken. I changed it because I wanted to try track days. I found the srad was always a little hesitant or felt jerky at low revs. This is normal in the bikes. It's the carbs and house there are set up. Try to balanced them, which I also did in another video... There are other mods to the airbox you can also do to increase the airflow. Hope this helps, the bikes are great to be fair
I'll be selling her this year as I just have not found the time to use her in the last 5 years... Only rode her less than 20 miles... And she's had lots of work done to get her to this condition... Brakes, chain, shocks, carbs, filters, exhaust, tyres and lots more that I have lost track of... She is ready to ride away with no work required for many years.
May try and give it a run this year. Just need to get the MOT done. Fired up after a year without fuss. The carbs were stripped and rebuilt with new seals not long ago..
It was a week or so after getting mine, before I noticed the Pepsi Logo was Red at front on Left side and Blue on the other ! See you managed to get that right. RG500 CH (1989) Pepsi-Suzuki "Kevin Schwantz" GP Race Replica,
DON'T DO THIS. Use a cleaner made for use on leather upholstery. Repeated use of soap will accelerate aging! DIY cleaner is so tempting, but if the chemistry is not correct, you do a good and bad thing at the same time. Dove soap has a pH (acidity) of 6, mildly acidic, which is gentle for living human skin. HOWEVER, leather has a pH of 4.5 to 5 (like tomatoes or coffee), that's 10 to 75 x more acidic (each point on pH scale is 10x difference). When pH does not match, damage occurs. Human body oils are 5.5 to 6, and will cause leather to rot after a few years of accumulation in the leather. Even water-resistant leather still absorbs some of every liquid. Soap changes surface tension, so more of soapy water is absorbed than if you spilled plain water. An outstanding leather cleaner is made by advleather.com.
sneakerhead_ forlife ABSOLUTELY NOT. Only use products labeled for leather upholstery (not shoes, boots, saddle, baseball mitts). And test your leather with a droplet of water first. If it beads up and there is no dark wet spot after a minute, then it has a water-resistant color coating and can be cleaned with liquid leather cleaners. Windex has alcohol in it which can dissolve this coating. If water is absorbed at all, then it cannot be cleaned other than vacuuming and dry dusting. Liquids of any kind will spread the stain and remove nothing, plus the cleaner is absorbed and can't be removed. Most cleaners will slowly rot the leather. Don't drill a hole! Open back door, remove the M star bolt on the side of the front door, get a long flat head and pry the locking mechanism down. My boyfriend is the best.
great stuff! my s5 driver door is stuck. i can get in from passenger. the actuator mechanism has locked up on to the metal square latch thing which is bolted onto the car. the door handles in and out work but not releasing the catch. and the actuator mechanism is screwed on by 2x m8 screws which can only be unscrewed if door is open! any pointers would be helpful!!
there's no issue honestly I'm just trying to pinpoint whether my 1998 gsxr 750 is fuel injected without having to pull the gas tank off. i have what looks to be a choke on the left but I'm unsure if that's just a fast idle or not? did the 1998 gsxr 750 have a model that was carbureted or were they all injected? do you know?
Domonick Bohoy changed in 98, so could be either. I would leave it alone if there is no issue. the choke is on both carb and injection. it's purely to richen the fuelling. done through the closure of butterfly. the balancing is exactly the same on both carb or injection
