You forgot to mention aligning filter pip on the end, into filter housing. Should be aligned and hand tight to ensure you don't crush the filter! Thanks BMW for a wonderful design! You have to use your feeling to not ruin the engine. Also an unskilled wrench monkey (mechanic) can ruin your engine for you. Thanks BMW! PS Done this change myself and it took three goes to make filter fit.
Thank you thank you thank you. As others have said, out of all the other videos I looked at, none of them even mentioned the tabs to rotate that hold the bulb in like you did here. Even the drivers side was easy, removed two bolts holding the coolant pressure tank and swung it around out of the way.
This is the first video ever that I comment and like… you are very detailed and informative. I can absolutely remove my dashboard without any hesitation. (In a side note, I wish you didn’t fast forwarded the end when you removed all the screws as it would have been great to know exactly where the rest of the screws are located). Overall, awesome video. Thank you so much for taking the time to record it and for sharing it with us. Much appreciated!
Hello, sir. My battery on a BMW X4 diesel died and was dead for a week, and when I wanted to unlock the car to get a new battery, it refused to open with the key, so I had to unlock it manually.Fast forward, I got a new battery and installed it, and when I tried to start the car, it didn't want to start, so I used jumpers and jump started the car directly from the battery, and surprisingly, it did start, but it kept showing faults like led light fault, drivetrain fault, and it kept losing power until it ended up kicking out the gears, and now when I start the car, the system goes completely off although the car is still idling. The lights don't turn on, the radio and screen turn off, everything goes dark, and the speedometer doesn't move even when you rev the car, so I phoned someone to get it checked, and they are battling to fix the problem. Do you believe it could be the power module?maybe a blown fuse because even after trying to diagnose it the machine says it can't access the system 💔.please help
I just replaced my valve cover gasket on my 2017 Honda Accord Sport SE 2.4L. I will agree with others, that disconnecting the negative battery cable and then the wiring harness from the alternator is a shed load easier than trying to get that wiring harness connector disconnected on the back left side by the fire wall. I chose to use Permatex Great Stuff gasket maker on the 6 little areas that need it. I chose great stuff because you can drive your vehicle 90 minutes after the Great Stuff has been applied. Your video was exactly what I needed. Thank you for making it. The 2015 Accord with the 2.4L is the only 9th generation Accord with removable spark plug gasket seals on the under side of the valve cover. This little nugget of wisdom was shared with me from a guy who works in the parts department at my local Honda stealership. Have a great 4th of July weekend. Fly, fight, win! Colonel C.M., USAF Ret
Does anyone have any experience with leaks from the tube seals after replacing only the outer gasket? I replaced the whole cover fearing leaks and now I'm wondering if I could have saved a lot of money by using the old cover😭😭😭😭😭😭
How? I can't find a video link anywhere. I damaged the spark plug seal removing the cover. The seals are brittle anyway and need to be replaced but the kit I got has the screws and the '15 I'm working on looks pressed in
bought a used g11 2016 same as one in this video, been at it for an hour now trying to get the stupid plastic cover back on the left side is not going in im about to give up gonna try it again in a hour im a sweaty mess, never had any trouble had a number of various european cars over the years
@@friendlymechanic9778 finally got it in place! used a rubber mallet slighty tapped it then it finally went in the slot! thanks for your video! i have to return the ones i bought from parts store as they were too big to fit and buy the correct ones. it appears these cabin filters in the car are originals with 60,000 miles very dirty cleaned them up blasted air put them back in, the arrows were facing away when i pulled them out, installed them back arrows facing towards the engine.
If you have an F10 series and the AC isn’t working the AC condenser might be leaking. That’s a very common part to fail on the F10. Anything AC it would need to go to a shop to properly replace the parts and vacuum/charge the AC system.
Why does everyone remove the caliper from the mounting bracket? All you need to do is remove the whole thing as 1. No need to remove the caliper from the bracket.
Hello, I have made it to plugging the new bulb in but I can’t get it to go back into place. It is in the hole but it is super lose. Do you have any suggestions?
I seem to have the same issue with oil leaking. How long will the overall process take and how much should I be paying to have this fixed. I’m in Australia
