I liked your honest and brief review of this documentary. I get that JBJ is the focal point of the band that bears his name. But, I agree with you that if this is about the band, there could've been more insight to Tico, David and even Richie Sambora. It seemed like whenever there was a strong focus on the history of the band, the doc would shift into the current struggles of JBJ's life and that felt a little self-centered and not too band-centric.

Yes, they should be present for the anthem, standing at attention, with their right hand over their heart. They should also face the flag. No being absent for the national anthem. Disrespect this great country like that and you should forfeit the game. You can still play the game but it will be countered as a loss. No handholding that’s a form of disrespect right there. Football players did that little stunt, to try to meet half way and still show disrespect. Again, stand at attention, face the flag, with your right hand over your heart. If you don’t like this country, leave. It’s that simple.
This is just another reason why men don't watch women's sports & most women don't give a damn about any sports.... LSU knew damn well when they we're supposed to be on court. Somebody got it spot on when they said they lady tigers have zero class...
The men are just as bad. I pretty much quit watching professional sports entirely, because of the same issue. NBA is the worst, followed by the NFL, and MLB. The NHL is even starting it. If you have no respect for this country as a team, I have no respect for your team, or the league you play in. I’d rather go to a park and watch five-year-olds play baseball than go to watch these disrespectful, overprivileged, and highly overpaid, MLB pros play.
Narration contains too many questions. Does d they do this? Did they do that? Just state the facts. There’s no suspense created if you answer the question 10 seconds after you ask it.
The right loves to get hype about these "issues" but turns there back on social issues. No I'm not saying this is a social issue they were protesting but I also think it's redmeat for the base. The majority of Americans don't even care they just want to see a good game. Having everything point to these predominantly black athletes as dirty and unpatriotic is dog whistling at its finest. Disapointing. I guess colleges have just gone crazy left wing liberal. Hard to root for any team that can not take a minute or two to show up for and stand for the national anthem.
That's because people are turning sports into a racist event. If I was at a sports event, I would never stand up for the national Athem. I never stood for the national Athem in the 1980 during high school and I am not standing now. All I can say is may the better team win. The hell with that national Athem, much love to Angela Reese and Caitlyn Clark. I am glad neither one of these young ladies are racist like their fans..!!!!

Traditionally, I believe, they started playing the Anthem at sporting events to show support for the troops fighting a war. Whatever our differences we could all agree we love our country. It is disheartening to see that this may no longer be true. It is particularly disturbing when the disrespect comes from a group like student athletes who are among the most lucky and privileged people in the world.
