You much of went to a rich high school, mine didn't even have a foreign language or science class really, literally all we did was practice taking a state test all year so the district could get funding. "no child left behind" awesome.
I hate how YT has now put "play" & "scroll down" buttons right in the center of all short vids. Is there nothing I can do to get rid of them?! It makes it hard & at times impossible to read or see things that are integral to fully understanding the short! All the text near the bottom of the shorts for channel name, subscribe button, video title, hangtags, & the music track is frustrating as it is & now they have to add MORE visual obstructions & distractions? The developers/ designers or whoever they are who make these changes to YT apparently don't give two hoots about YT users' satisfaction or experience & it makes me wonder if any of them even use the mobile app or mobile site at all.

We are both in the same boat. But I did RIBA Studio and now work as an architectural apprentice working towards part 2 exams. My education and experiences as a technologist strategically placed me. My advice for anyone wanting to get into architecture is to do an apprenticeship.
Thank you for correctly calling it Yakisugi. ("grilled cedar".) Yep, cedar. I know there's some dispute over exactly which conifer, is involved. Here's a Japanese carpenter making a repair and near the end of the video is adding some to the exterior of the house. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yjcqeItTdxA.html He's using cedar and about thirteen minutes and thirteen seconds in he calls it yakisugi. When they are "grilling" the wood, there is also a specific side they use. The side of the plank closest to the center of the tree is the side that is burned. A Japanese carpenter would consider that the back or bottom of the plank, and in most cases in the interior would be the side you don't see. But on the exterior that side is burned and faces out.
That bit at the end, lol ok. Seems we need to tell Italians that the Chinese own pasta now since there's no such thing as cultural exposts, two or more versions of the same things can't exist at the same time, and something, something cultural appropriation, time to give China back a _huge_ number of things, but at least the French get to have cars (even though people think Germany was the first). Hi Ms. Kathryn. I am located here in the Southernmost of the Philippines, specifically in the BARMM region. We are the top producer of seaweeds here in the Philippines and I would really love to focus my thesis for my master's degree in Chemistry on seaweeds with the aim of furthering its application. I am fascinated with now I discovered other applications of bioplastic on the manufacturing of utensils, in replacement of synthetic plastics. Using bioplastics from seaweeds is obviously more sustainable. Where can i personally reach you? Hope you can give me insights. Thank you!

So, that is fascinating and I have lots of questions. Does it last a long time? Does it dissolve in any common liquids? Is it flexible? How thick a piece can you pour? Can you shape/melt it? I’ll have to try it out and find out!
I'm thinking about how pre-petroleum-plastic people would make tools like forks, spoons, and combs from animal horn which was boiled in oil or soaked in water to soften it so it could be molded. It has a texture not too far from plastic from what I've heard and it biodegrades, which is why we don't have a ton of really really old examples. They also made windows from horn too! I'm wondering if bioplastics made from algae can be a more scalable alternative to petroleum based plastics and to horn for these sorts of things.
When making bio plastic, I think people should be careful not to mix it up with gasoline based plastic because we know some corporations try cut corners
So, if I want to make a plastic that is flexible after a certain temperature but then, sets again once it cools, I need to choose a plasticiser that only melts past a certain temperature and sets again below that temperature? Am I right??
