Found this while looking for live clips of Jonny before I go catch him on this tour. His voice is definitely not as clean as it was a decade ago but whose is? Every band that had a singer consistently singing in a high register in that genre has either replace their singer due to injury of their vocal cords or they've dropped all of their music down an octave lol. That happens to normal people, let alone someone who has struggled with addiction. What he's been able to do with his voice through sheer perseverance is give character to an otherwise great voice to make it a FANTASTIC, GAME-CHANGING voice. Jonny was great before, but what really separated Emarosa from Pierce the Veil, Of Mice and Men, Issues, Jamie's Elsewhere, Chiodos, etc? Yes, I know there are differences, I'm just saying that VOCALLY, there wasn't a lot that separated them. Jonny's voice stands out amongst ALL of them now, if it didn't before. I can't fucking wait to see dude, for real!
He sounds great dude wtf!? Obviously he doesn't sound exactly like he did 10 years ago but he can still sing his ass off. There is no better singer in the scene to this day than Jonny. He is one of a kind. Tis too bad he keeps fucking up in life but that voice is still golden.
Listening to old Emarosa stuff and listening to this honestly gives me this kinda gloomy feeling. Like gloomy but warm. I think it’s because I’m so in love with this music yet I realize it’s all just fragments. Kinda tough. Great song.
@@melindalinn962 do some research on him he had ruined peoples lives, and just generally a piece of shit. He had a a great voice, but the rest of him is garbage h
I discovered jonny when he was in ghosht runner on third and dug in deep for the the first 2 albums of dgd. He let drugs ruin his carrer, shame such talent is going to waste
