Man this was one of the more chaotic races for sure! Thanks for uploading these races as always. It’s nice to be able to watch one I didn’t screw up for once 😂
Dude, James and Paolo had such a huge lead this race 😂. I’ve never seen a lead so big that the leaders are entering lightbulb, as 3rd place is entering roller coaster. Was such a good race, from Sergey’s awesome defending, to Paolo and Jame’s race to the line
That was a great race!!! Sucks I couldn’t hold first from Thomas and Paolo but I’ll take a jam packed battle for a podium spot. Interesting how on both this video and my video, we both talk about how to balance patience and aggressiveness when battling other drivers. I feel like I was a little too conservative this race unfortunately, not taking opportunities on the final couple laps and costing me spots in the end. As for the video format, I do personally prefer the old format of showing the full race for both the LCQ and final. But maybe utilize the chapter system when uploading videos so we can know when the LCQ and final starts and where to skip to for highlights
That's why you have a race director and track workers and flags and penalties. You will actually need race craft, some patience & good kart adaption to get to the front.
It is dull isn't it. I actually don't think the field needs messing with. It's a case of someone not getting the memo on "if it ain't broke....." The two leagues worked great, with the only thing being someone needing to grow a set and tell the bottom 3-5 in pro that they were moving down to pro-am to make way for the graduates. Let'em walk if they don't want to. 10 people waiting to fill the spots no doubt. My 2 cents.
I think you guys should invert the field for these races, make it more competitive, instead of just letting pole to run off with the victory. My 2 cents.
Your first race is a normal top qualifier takes pole, second race, no more qualifying, first from last race starts last and automatically sets the starting grid. No driver gets the same kart twice during the season, if they draw a kart they have already had, draw another. Has worked for us for years.
We did it successfully at our venue for years, no one complained and lots of championships were won from last place. We even added 1 mandatory pit stop per race. It was awesome.
There is always next race. When you stick it harder, things work your way, but people have grudge against you. When you leave room, you become vulnerable to getting fkd. And now you have grudge:) Racing is about finding balance between those undesirable extremes.
