@@Controversialcruising it was a very great cruise we had a great time in Hawaii. We do both Royal and Carnival but we were not very impressed with the Miracle, it was not bad at all but thought that Carnival could have chosen a newer ship with more things to do for the 4 days each way at sea. My suggestion would be in Honolulu is to get a rental from Toro and have them meet you at the cruise port. We took a taxi to the airport on Maui and in Hilo to pick up a reserved rental.
Greetings, My wife and I are going on this cruise next spring. I plan to record videos like you did here. Did you have a computer available on the ship to transfer video from the Go Pro to a storage device? I have a 64 GB card and it only stores about 1 hour of video. thanks, Ben
We had a great time on this cruise but no I did not, I just went and bought a 256GB card before we went. Best Buy has them for around $50. You could transfer to a laptop for sure but we didn’t even bring one.
Great video! What excursion in Skagway did you go on to have such a wonderful bus driver? She was fantastic. Actually the bus driver in Juneau was too, but I am really curious about the skagway one. We aren't going until September on this year, but are looking to have our days set so we were happy to come across this!
Thank you! I hope it gives you some ideas. Things were a little less available due to the fact we were on the second cruise back to Alaska after the covid restart. You will have a great time, at some point you need to try fresh salmon and king crab. One piece of advice is for you to look through the excursions well before your cruise, we wanted to do salmon fishing but they were sold out before the cruise date. We did the Skagway Street Car Tour through Royal Caribbean.
It was a little rough but not violent, just some good rolling. We were told different stories as to if the stabilizers were working or not. Never found out the truth.
@@Misterpoisonivy a little bit but there was plenty do on the ship. Tv service was terrible didn’t have satellite service so we downloaded movies on our tablet to watch.
@@StelioKontos42069 gmc copied the Australian Munaro model (body) it was made here first! It was an Australian made vehicle that was rebadged in the states… the fact gmc owned Holden is the only reason we gave the body’s! And everyone knows Australian designed engines were always superior! Even our fords had better engines!
@@politicallyincorrectpanda you cant copy something if you own it. the internals arent australian made at all, but the interior is and its straight up the best one gm ever got.
We are going on this cruise next year. Carnival doesn’t include this in any of their excursions. Can you please share details on how you planned going to Pearl Harbor? TIA!
Yea we rented a Jeep via Turo and drove there ourselves. We just showed up and walked in to Pearl Harbor Historical Sites. We got in line (on the inside) to get on the boat to take us to the Arizona Memorial.
@@reallifewithrobbie5957 when we went it docked at Pier 2 cruise terminal at Ala Moana Blvd and Channel St. The gentleman that we found on Toro brought the car right there and picked it back up at the same spot.
@@robd4641 I don’t remember but I know it varied depending on the vehicle. My wife looked on Turo and found the one we got before we left to go on the trip.
When we went in February we had to have our passports, vaccination cards, negative Covid test 48 hours prior to sailing, had to take a test at the terminal before being allowed to board, and had to take another test on board 2 days before arriving in Hawaii.
Thank you for watching. It took us a couple hours. They were having some trouble getting all the bags for everyone off in a timely matter. We expected it would take about that long however usually it’s a little quicker.
@@norristravels you now must wear a mask to get off ... Immigration was INSIDE in cruise ship at SF. You get covid most likely on a crowded Excursion bus or disembarkment where 2k guests breathing heavily carrying their luggage within less than 3 feet from each other
The weather was great! It was cold in Long Beach enough to wear a hoodie and same on the first full sea day. After that it was amazing out not too hot or cold.
Yea in Long Beach it was cold, hoodie weather and the first full sea day. After that it was pretty nice out, it had its moments when it was pretty windy but over all it was a little chilly in the am and the evenings. The boat was rocking and pretty rough though.
Great videos, I will be doing the same cruise in October 2022 on the Radiance. I noticed you were driving in your videos. Did you rent a car at each port
Thank you! We had a great time and in Honolulu we rented through Toro and they dropped the car off right out of the port. In Maui and Hilo we had to taxi to the airport and pick up the cars but make sure you have reservations before your trip.
Great videos! I will be taking this cruise in Nov 22. What are the chances that you have the fun times for this itinerary? Just looking to find a schedule so I can plan my sea days better.
Thank you! You will have a great time! Unfortunately I don’t have them because they were on the app. You could get paper ones at some places like the coffee shop and guest services. They did not put them in your cabin everyday like before.
@@norristravels Thank you! Ya, I miss the old paper way. LOL< I just want to plan my steakhouse meal without missing anything else that may be going on.
Your vacation starts at the pier. For God's sake get a passport and get your children passports. Yes, you can sail with other documents, but it slows you and everyone behind you down. Fully complete your online check in. Upload pictures and required documents. Print every document you can, do not rely on your phone. Put your vaccination card in your passport and have your test results in hand. We want to get you from car to bar n 10 minutes, but it's up to you.
I see you had a car on the island, which island were you on and where did you rent from? We are taking the same cruise in September except from San Fran.
On Oahu we rented from Toro and he brought the Jeep to the cruise terminal. On Maui we rented from dollar at the airport, in Hilo we also get ours from Dollar at the airport. It was really easy. We just made reservations ahead of our trip to make sure we had a car.
@@norristravels We were looking at that app also. I love that he brought it to the terminal! Were there cabs at the port to get you to the airport and how far was it?
@@kellyyarger4417 in Maui it was about a 5 minute taxi ride, and you got the cab right outside of the terminal a couple minute walk from the ship. In Hilo it was about a 10 minute taxi ride due to construction and you go the taxi right outside of the terminal.
I have one. You have to stay on top of every nut and bolt or they'll fall apart on you .I still love it to death. Just too much motor for such small wheel base
@@goat_life254 just got my hinson aluminum driveshaft delivered today. After new clutch flywheel slave cylinder and all bearings all that's left to replace if needed is differential.
