Leslie's Satchers song Going Down Hard should've charted #1 and it should have won a Grammy as the best the country single that year too when it came out. Her songwriting is also amazing too!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is Christmas eve here in Dublin and I am just writing to a very dear friend who sent me a book based on this song which contained a cd of LeeAnn Womack singing it. It is a two track cd of the original recording together with an acoustic version. She sent it to me at probably the lowest time of my life 23 years ago and was an absolute Godsend. In the years that followed I have shared this amazing song with so many people who needed to believe in themselves and in life once again. To hear Tia Sillers sing this magnificent song which she wrote, a song which continues to inspire and uplift so many people all over the world, is a beautiful gift this Christmas. Thank you Tia for this precious gift.
Well I hope you never lose your sense of wonder But I wish that you my wash better down under I get the feeling you take good hygiene for granted Go ahead, deny it, I caught you red handed I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean But you always leave the bathroom door wide open Have the courtesy to just leave the seat up And when you’re finished don’t forget to flush I hope you flushed I hope you flushed I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance Never settle for the path of least resistance Livin' might mean takin' chances, but they're worth takin' Lovin' might be a mistake, but it's worth makin' Don't let some Hellbent heart leave you bitter But remember when you get off of the shitter Have the courtesy to just leave the seat up And when you’re finished don’t forget to flush I hope you flush I hope you flush (Time is a wheel in constant motion always rolling us along) I hope you flush I hope you flush (Tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder, where those years have gone?) I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance Dance (Time is a wheel in constant motion always rolling us along) I hope you flush I hope you flush (Tell me who wants to look back on their years and wonder, where those years have gone?)
Clint is awesome. I was walking down St. George street an heard his voice at the St. Augustine songwriters festival. I was very impressed. Then I had to find out more about him. He's a cool dude. I got to talk to him for about 30 minutes. I could not believe all of the songs he wrote. He even wrote songs with E.T.C. Country music needs to see more of this guy. He's the real deal. And a Florida boy.
I often watch Danny in the 1978 Don Williams concert., here on RU-vid. His high harmony on Amanda and his harmonica playing just make the concert. He sure was beautiful then!!
I miss Trick Pony y'all were awesome. I really don't care for Nashville . But my heart goes out to the people of Nashville over what happened yesterday or the day before.
