Hi friends, I’m Lynnell. Happy wife, home schooling mama to two girls, doctor and new immigrant to Alberta Canada. It means so much to have you here. Follow along as we start a new life in a new place.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you find encouragement and inspiration for living an intentional life balancing family, faith and career.
Welcome to Edmonton : )) it is nice to hear your experiences with immigrating here. I 100% agree with you choosing a condo over an apartment, the condo is more ideal in my opinion. I had no idea about Oxio, so thanks for that information. Our gas and power are together on one bill, we live in a duplex condo and are a family of 2 people and it was $178 for August, but we have air conditioning. Our water was $118. I would budget for more on the gas and power for the winter months as it will definitely be more.
I understand exactly what you're talking about where it pertains to Cuba..similar experience to get ECFMG certified...took many years literally. In addition I graduated as part of the older system and not when ELAM became an entity!
We have a really great thrift store in Morinville where I live. Morinville isn’t that far from Edmonton and it makes for a nice drive. Also you have to check out Prairie Gardens for activities for you and the family. Just google them. Enjoyed your fashion show. You look great!
Hi sis, i been following you for a while and I can't stop smiling😊 hopefully I should be living my dream life in Canada by next year 😊. I have a question please, during your PR process ,when you/husband were submitting your reference letter from the company you worked with, did you attach or submit your bank statement alongside your reference letter showing your salary payment as part of your employment evidence ? Kindly reply. Thank you. Give the girls a big hug for me
Yes. We did. The idea is to show that you worked the number of years you claimed for in a full time paid position. So you can attach salary slips, employment contracts, job description papers etc.
@@dorispeters8523 so the bank statement should include your current balance and your average balance over the past six months. Some banks will put the average others may just show the balance for the last six months. It also needs to have your banks contact information, your name and that you don’t have any debts with the bank.
@@dorispeters8523 if you average balance over the last six months was like 2000$ and then now your actual balance shows 25000$ they might flag it and then ask you to submit a summary of all bank transactions over the past months. They want to see if you just suddenly made a deposit. You have to justify it. You need to prove that you didn’t just borrow that money and put it there. So if you sold an asset or assets then scan and add all that, the sale document even the cheque they gave you that u deposited.
You guys are missing the fact that the gov't will change hands next year... You'll need to make this video again when the conservatives are in gov't. The only reason why so many migrants are here is because of the corrupt liberal gov't. The gov't is set to slow down the migration, and there are too many homeless migrants living in tents that came in illegally to Canada. Why do so many people run away from their countries? Canada is not perfect!
This is a really great video. Thank you for putting this out there. My husband just got car insurance here in edmonton and it's over 300. I'd love to know which insurance company you are using. We have a similar driving experience.
It depends on the car as well. If it’s newer and more costly insurance goes up. Other things like adding glass coverage will make the rate go up. Having winter tires may help with discounts. We use cooperators. They were one of the only ones we found that insured newcomers that didn’t have an Albertan license.
This is so validating to watch. The feeling that everything is just not working out and the current circumstances just not being good for your overall physical and mental health. As an immigrant going through this, I feel understood and have a renewed sense of hope.
Yes it is definitely mandatory for the application. We assumed we would be asked to show it again at the airport (as we had heard that sometimes they do), but they didn’t ask us for it.
@@eddyberchie6785 that is a little trickier because it varies from province to province. It’s also different pathway if you’ve already completed medical residency elsewhere. The process looks like an algorithm decision tree.
@@ibrahim6960 alright. I’m waiting on ECFMG to complete my source verification so I can enter the Express Entry Pool. For now I’ll keep following your videos for all the updates….Thank you 🤝
The excerpt you read from the newsletter was really encouraging. Just yesterday, my pastor mentioned that book you got at the thrift store while taking a leadership class. Now im more curious about it. Congratulations on passing your driving test! I like the mobility freedom that comes with that.
Boy oh Boy! I am dreading the day I have to get my documents translated from Chinese to English. I don’t want to even think about the process of getting my police record from China. Dealing with Chinese officials outside of the country is sooooo frustrating 😩😩😩😩
You should probably request the police record from now. Even if it expires they accept it as long as you no longer live there and it’s dated after you last were in china.
@@TuMaLife no prob 👍🏾 check the IRCC website on police records from china and see under the special considerations. It seems the notary public office issues a translation as well and you need that particular translation.
Loved this video, as a child of an immigrant myself I loved seeing the perspective of new immigrants and how you obtained permanent residency. Not much has changed really since my mom immigrated here nearly 60 years ago
Really, blessed by your video. Surely God works all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. So many amazing testimonies of the goodness of God. May the Lord continue to open doors for your family.
