Thru the Roof ‘83 was one of my most favourite albums of the 80’s. 83 was a great year. Funnily enough, this album also has the shortest version of Karma Chameleon I’ve ever heard 😂
@@australian12extendedmixes53 Yes and you have done a wonderful job of it! I have the 7" single and that version is different than the album version. Wendy Matthews' fine vocals add tremendously to the mood and majesty of this for sure.
Yeah quite a few U.S 12" pressings featured the U.S remixes that weren't always released here, they also remixed quite a few album tracks too, Models, Pseudo Echo etc.
Do you have the version of this that has a girl rapping in it? Im from NZ & had the song on a club mix disc in the early 2000s. Been looking for that version for years lol
grossly underrated in this country mainly due to the fact they weren't a "rock band" when Australia loved it's rock, they were so innovative especially with the first album Bonk (Produced by Nick Launay) , wasn't so much a fan of the 2nd album though, thought they changed their sound too much. This remix wasn't available here but the remixer Rosi also remixed Break Away which was released here as the "Remix" 2nd 12" single here in Oz.
@@australian12extendedmixes53 Yeah Bonk is definitely better than the follow up. Taste It & Hanging Tree are great from You Luck People, but yes the sound changed. I first got Bonk on LP new in '88, and only 12 months ago got You Lucky... from Discogs also on vinyl. Plus have the 1986 EP & Breakway on 12", brilliant song. Think I like the 7" version of B'away better, the beginning of the song sends shivers, awesome. Found the 12" a little "too fussy/overdone", taking away some of the minilmist impact of the 7". Launay's work is outstanding, notably though (I just looked at the cover of my B'away 12), Nick produced it & some New Yorker called Roli Mossiman remixed it, no doubt for the US market, same as this Hungry Town remix, but I actually really like this. But Launay, wow - a genius. Produced my fave album by my #1 band of all time, INXS' The Swing. And Dekadance, WOW! Spectacular remix album,. Thanks for this & many of your other great uploads, particularly Jenny Morris' You're Gonna Get Hurt 👌
