Just put the 301cc on mine with no governor and 40 series Clutch and Torque with the header and air filter kit with Mikuni carb, gonna be making a video soon on it's first ride.
Ok, my bad. At 6:15 you did. The used one I bought had an aftermarket air cleaner. I never had seen the stock cover mounting for the carb. These little bikes are pretty awesome!
Um i take it you didnt have a wire wheel for that front plate ? By the way there is a guy who did a complete restore vid on this atv , go check him out and clean that carb , it will run better
I would recommend you use paint stripper to get off any thing thats been previously spray painted, and then the idle was a little too high it shouldn't been moving with no throttle. Next time just unscrew the idle all the way and just slowly screw it in until the thing barely idles but doesn't die, And last thing I would have sanded the exhaust pipe because it looked really bad with it being all rusty. But otherwise good job your really lucky to get one for free, I usually pay $150-280 depending on what condition its in and then resell it for like $750 depending on what brand/model it is.
Thanks for the tips man, this was a free quad that I just got to beat on, I just wanted to make it look a little nicer. But if I was doing this to make a really nice quad to resell for a lot of money, I woulda totally done what you said.
dude, the painting😆, in future buy some paint remover, remove it, sand it, than you need to perfectly clean it with some alcohol, than put first layer of paint on plastic (its primer on plastic), than normal color(2 layers) than transparent paint, and it will last longer. Yours will start pealing off in a year😉
Sorry I've looked all over the internet and haven't been able to find one, it came stock on this kart years ago, gopowersports sells sprockets and drums though🤙
@@kevindickerson9088 he's a plott hound. Bred to hunt wild hogs and boars but we don't have any in Kentucky so 🤷♂️ lol. Bred between a pit bull and a labrador.
@@crabtreemedia8169 Sweet, looking at the same set up I just built, but current is single drive and Id like to sell and purchase more of an offroad solid axle style. ....or finally purchase a welder and weld the solid kit to this manco dominator.
@@armancha23 oh yeah man I love the Dominator frames. And honestly I don't know if you've ever welded before but if you haven't then the kit is great for experience from what I've seen on em. For a welder I have the Titanium 125 flux if you want simple and it is great. You make the big jump to buy a welder and all of a sudden all of the clearance and Fabrication issues you had before are no longer a problem😂
@@crabtreemedia8169 Ah, I have and its been a while, but I was considering doing exactly that. Wife may approve of that more too over selling whats been rebuild and re build another. Only thing his id like more of a suspension frame as this is more street with cleat tires.
I freaking hate steering wheels. Mine had 2 bolts but one was hidden behind a plastic piece to cover it up and make it look good? Idk but it was stupid, so maybe that? Hope you get it, thanks for watching.
@@michaelkrutz5737 I have found wheels since then, I saw they were over $50 a piece, so I welded 3/4 bolts onto the spindle so I could save some money with lawn mower wheels, $50 a piece vs. $20 for 2 used, love the molded spindles because now they are SUPER beefy, I can always change out the spindles too
