The one I got kinda feels like plastic not really used it yet but I don't have much high hopes or expectations from it quite disappointed at the quality
Y'all are missing the point. This is for the times you DON'T have a tape measure. Plus it's just a fun gimmick. Nobody's expecting you to bring it to a jobsite. Plus.Who doesn't like a bit of finely machined titanium? Give it a break. I'm getting one😅
What about measuring inside dimensions of a drawer or box? How can you get the reading right to the edge at inside corners? How does this aide in marking and layout long boards? Instead of standing at the cutting end and hooking a tape over the far end and marking it, now I need to move myself the entire length of the work piece with this little wheel in my fingers to find my cutting mark... This invention is up there with the handle-less hammer as far as construction trade inventions made by somebody who have never had to use the tool in any practical capacity.
I think it's a really good concept, but better suited for sewing instead of construction. Construction usually deals with straight lines, most guys couldn't draw a line without the aid of a ruler
Adding some electronics to this to digitally convert rotations to measurement, a small oled screen and a replaceable button cell would make this waaaaay more useful.
Ya, useless as an actual measuring device, but a good fidget toy. Completely impossible to use in any practical application in actual jobsites. Wouldn't go against an inside corner.... I could go on and on
For those of you who thought it was easy to lose a bright yellow or neon orange tape measure during a project or on a jobsites, we give you something even easier to lose.
@@smetljesm2276 kids from kickstarter invent a Opisometer. That's kinda normal tool when you work with maps. Btw, normal opisometer is better in ergonomic than this ring...
