I’m about to put in a native plants garden in NY as part of a lawn reclamation project. Planning to use a berm to smoother existing grass and weeds, especially mugwort. Did you plant those paw paws directly into the mulch? I was planning to add a layer of compost on top of the cardboard layer and plant in that. Great channel btw. Looking forward to checking out more content.
Hey Fiona, My name is William Herbert Philbrick, I am an 11-year-old boy genius from Sparta, Wisconsin. Anyway, could you please stop watching either Fox News or CNN? Your generation really screwed mine over. I don’t understand how you can justify having a house so nice while using the government to force me to be a homosexual. :(
Thanks for these great points! I have had a current plant for a few years now and have had lots of flowers, but no fruit...any idea why? I'm feeling stumped!! Thanks for any help you can offer!
I have probably a 3 year old tree and it always drops it's fruit on me. This year I made sure i gave it the right water and fertilizer but they are dropping a lot. I only have a few fruit left on the tree and I am afraid they will also fall. Not sure what else to do. Any ideas?
I had bought one but in second guessing if it's a actually gerardi at this point the leafs are almost as big as my hands and its doubled in size maybe to 3 feet since the spring is that normal? It hasnt fruited since i got it frim edible landscapeing
I haven't been able to figure out how to add graph paper. I tried making my own with lines and it was so tedious and time consuming I quit and I couldn't find any templates when I googled it. Any advice?
@@TheFoodscaper It would have been smarter for me to have found this video before I did the grafting. I put Kasandra and Nikita's Gift on a total of 5 branches....3 and 2. I had a 50/50 chance of having put the better one in its place. It appears now that I put the more vigorous one below 3 times, and the more dwarf growing on on top 2 times. Could be a problem child. lol The tree itself is male, so I will leave a branch of that alone.
Your knowledge of these plants is incredible. What books do you recommend for a guy cutting grass commercially that would rather do this and needs a couple years to learn? Location is North Texas.
Hey Neal! Our upcoming mentorship would be an awesome way to make the change from commercial landscaping to foodscaping for a living. Starts June 5! www.thefoodscaper.com/foodscaper-mentorship-course Email us if you have questions info@thefoodscaper.com
When my neighbor replace his windows asked for few old windows and screen doors. I keep them all under my deck. I put the glass windows on my big pots and raised beds as green house to protect the crop from the cold. The screen door to protect the seeds and seedlings from birds or any insects won't leave my garden alone.
The way you're doing your 45° picture frame to end in center is aesthetically appealing but will allow water infiltration and rot out much faster. cedar still rots. reverse it so top rail covers side " stiles" ,speaking as a carpenter. Also top fasteners leave a hole for water to pool/soak in...fill those and you're gold.
Hi! We are not a nursery, but we do have a great list of recommended nurseries and plants www.thefoodscaper.com/blog/a-jackpot-list-of-recommended-foodscaping-plants-nurseries
Important to note is that the team at Custom Foodscaping now uses 3 t-posts around each fence and lifts the fence 6" off the ground for easier weed management
Can i do this for a wild flower bed? Just map out the area where i want it, cover it for a month and a half then till and sew them? Will the weeds and grass become dormant and grwo back with my wild flowers?
What are you using as the initial wall substrate? I see you are not using metal lathe, so I am wondering what the cement is sticking to. Thanks in advance.
It really is the best! And there are other even better hybrids becoming available soon! "Sophie's gift" in particular is much larger while keeping its hardiness!
