I have I different issue. I recently did a screen replacement of my 2nd gen iPhone SE that came out last year and now for some reason my front facing camera module heats up badly. I tried disconnecting the camera and cleaning the connectors and the issue is still there. The camera works though... If I open the camera app, I’m able to use it without any issues. For safety reasons I decided to leave the camera disconnected because It was getting dangerously hot even when my camera app was off and I didn’t want it to destroy my iPhone and cause a fire. I’m kinda stuck now and I’m unsure if this is the camera module itself that’s causing the problem or if it’s a board level issue.

Hello, I have this problem please help me. model: Iphone 7 128 GB problem description: Phone showed some problems with the charging port and so I ordered a replacement kit online and decided to change it. I disconnected the display lcd and battery connectors and to test the charging port, I disconnected the already installed charging port connector and directly connected the connectors of the new charging port circuit to the board from top. I then put back the battery and display and turn the phone on and notice that the touch screen has stopped responding. So, I disconnect the new bought charging circuit and put back the old one (assembling everything as it was before) and turn the phone on and the touch screen still doesn't work remains the same ever since.
Hello. I have exactly the same problem. front camera isn't broken visually but it's all black. My phone is still under warranty. If the front camera is replaced can we still get the same quality pictures?
Guranda Dzamelashvili mine just happened today randomly my front camera on my 8 won’t work on FaceTime Snapchat or camera. So is it a bug? I’m wondering the same thing of what I should do.
@@meowyellen I've taken my phone to Apple service center as I didn't manage to make it work with all the tips given in this video. I haven't got it back yet
Guranda Dzamelashvili hmm ok. Thanks for the update. I have an appt tomorrow with Apple service as someone I spoke to from support said an issue came up with my camera (in the diagnostics) which is odd since I haven’t caused any damage to my phone. Hopefully they can fix my phone or their bug.
Tristan T yes! Ok so what I did was make an appt and they ran a diagnostic which basically showed something failed. They said they will cover it this time and I basically was like this happened without my doing? I reminded them how there was no water damaged or dropped damage. Either way this fixed it in a couple hours no cost. DONT let them charge you because the way he was talking about it and after reading some forums it was clear it was a malfunction/ bug in the newest iPhones that causes the camera to fail and most likely you didn’t cause any damage to your phone to cause this.
