Grigora Sport was first established as the home of the Grigora Training Group which is predominantly a sprints and hurdles training group and trains at the University of Pretoria. Some video uploads are from athletes in the group or athletes that were part of the group at the time of the video. Whenever videos of Grigora athletes are posted, it will clearly indicated when this specific athlete were part of the training group.
Because of a wider interest more videos of track & field were added. Firstly, because the Group subsided in South Africa, local competition videos also featured regularly. Then it expanded to include videos of international interest.
Coach Hennie Kriel also spend nine years in professional rugby (1997-2005) as a strength & conditioning coach and because of this interest, rugby videos will also feature in this channel.
