I bought the old one and prefer it much better as it holds all my daily stuff like a toothbrush, razor, pill bottle and such. I buy things like shampoo and soap when I get to my destination
So it's a tech sling for the 2% and not a EDC sling for most people. Who does headphones ?? I don't know anyone who walks around loaded with all the portable tech from their home. I use my slings for travel, touring or day hikes. Water bottle, rain jacket or vest, etc, etc. You should feature a video like that.
I've always wanted to figure out ways to use your pouches as belt-bags, but even those designed for the belt, for example, the phone holster, sit a bit too high-- but I finally figured out how to make it work! Using the hub keychain and attaching it where you would otherwise attach the sling strap makes the modular pouch, the phone pouch, the vertical pouch, and even the new metro pouch sit comfortably.
Is it possible to have a tailor cut the Go Sling Mini’s strap off, fold and sow a loop and attach one of Alpaka’s removable straps? Or would the angle’s be off?
Loving this minimal yet essential everyday carry. Will there be a modular sling v2 coming in the horizon? The v2 of the modular phone sling and the metro sling have been stellar.
I loved the V1, and I love the V2; it's such a huge improvement on an already great product. Both share one flaw, though: attached to the belt, it simply sits too high, which I think is a common problem with alpaka products designed for belt/ backpack strap attachment. I end up macguyvering together an attachmenmt via the sling belts at the top-- which is where it really needs to sit to be comfortable when sitting down. I'm not sure if this flaw is even resolvable-- it looks like moving the attachment up wouldn't allow for the reinforcement it has now-- but I thought I'd say something just in case you folks weren't aware that some people would really like a lower-sitting pouch (or weren't aware that people were hooking these onto their belts at all). The old hub pouch is the one I can use comfortably without modification-- but only if I attach it horizontally, which clearly isn't the intention.
I agree with the other comment here. You should re-release/still sell the metro sling v1. The v2 is so much bigger than the v1. I wanted a v1 and was forced to go purchase it from a 3rd party site. If this was the same size as the v1 and offered in xpac, I would’ve gotten this, but oh well
Im torn between zip pouch pro and zip cardholder. What i like about the zip cardholder is the bigger dimension in the back external slot. Question is, can it fit a chunky edc gear on it like leatherman skeletool or swiss army? Cuz based on the alpaka description of the zip carholder the back external slot can fit 2 cards only (max). Can you help me out guys. Thank you

@Alpaka - I wish the pocket in the back had a button, or zipper or sth. to keep it closed securely...Furthermore a little bit of organisation in the front pocket would be nice!
I purchased the X-pack variant of this product to hold my steam deck and maybe my 11” iPad. It barely holds a steam deck and it is uncomfortable to even try to get it into the bag. If you’re looking for a steam deck bag, I would look at tomtoc. Hope this helps!
Love the straps it come with!! May I guest using similar small size buckles with the Go Sling. When I op to not use the shoulder strap the buckle left on are a bit bulky.. just some thoughts, keep up the great work!!
