I'm a young crocheter who is crocheting for over a year, and I just learned making granny squares, cause in my opinion, it's ugly, even I started crocheting a year ago and made a LOT of projects, I haven't make anything with granny squares cause I was never interested, but now I'm thinking to make a hexagon cardigan so I thought it'll better if I learn making granny squares first, and many crocheter says it's really easy for beginners, but in my opinion, it's really complicated, even though I'm not a beginner. I'm pretty good at crocheting but still I forgot some steps or raws of making granny squares. Each people make their granny squares in their own style/way/method. Some people start with chains, some people with Mc, some do 2 chains, some do 1. And since it was my first type, i was really confused, and after trying and making one, starting making a hexagon cardigan, I noticed I made some mistakes 😐 and then I undo all the stitches and started again, but I forgot how I made them. Like did I do chain 1 or chain 2? And many others. Whenever I think to do or make something, I just don't follow only one pattern/tutorial, I take a look at a lot of patterns/tutorials, mix them all, and make my own pattern/tutorial. It's not only in crocheting, in my studies, homework And more, when I started making the hexagon cardigan, I mixed all the patterns/tutorials and made my own, but I didn't write it down, so when i started again, I forgot the pattern! ☹ so I have to make the pattern again! If you read this comment /text, then thanks 🙂 And I just wanna let you know that you're beautiful!
I will definitely try this out! I would probably separate the purse into two different compartments in the purse to add my waterbottle without making my other things wet!
I'm currently making 4 squares to make a taller version of those cute granny square drawstring pouches I've seen! I'm making it 2 squares tall so i can carry my phone in it whenever i dont want to bring my big bag that i also crocheted :'D
anyone who wants to do this here is what it looks like she did as a crocheter to attach the granny squares single crochet the granny squares together (tut- put the granny squares on top of each other then insert into both v’s/stiches and then js single crochet like normal down the side) attach all four granny squares together by single crocheting the sides and then once they are all conjoined single crochet the bottom together (edit: u can also do this with slip stitch, it’s kinda hard to tell which she used) next single crochet all around the top of the granny squares by using the stiches that werent already crocheted together, really any stitch works for this but if u want what’s in the video do single crochet i am not really sure how she did the chain so i would look that up if u rlly want it but if not a crochet strap option would be to start crocheting on the side (again any stitch works, i recommend doing what u did for the last thing) to any thickness u want then turn when u get to the right thickness and keep going down that row, flipping and repeating, then to connect them u can either sew them together or single crochet them together like how u did with the granny squares (edit: u can also slip stitch the strap here) sorry this is long i wanted to make it thorough, and if u read this and did it congrats! im so proud of u ❤️
