Welcome to ‘The Midnight Express’ channel! follow along as i teach myself how to weld, fabricate, do body work, and make my own tools to achieve my ultimate goal of building a pro touring classic Chevy truck.
I'm just a regular guy working in a single car garage and in my yard, I don't have a background in automotive or fabrication. I've been a truck driver for 20 years and I'm wanting more in life. A more full filling life. I hope my videos help inspire someone to take a chance in life and start a project they've been wanting/thinking about doing. It takes money but you don't have to have piles of it.
Follow me as I build my own tools to turn a rusty truck I saved in to a #protouring truck

@landoncustomclassics they are really nice! I believe my girlfriend has one of those lincoln tombstone welders too I'll have to ask her lol. These are great machines from Arc captain though and pretty budget friendly.
@HammerWrench thank you! That's awesome!!! Sure folks can go buy stuff. But I'm on a budget and I get so much more from building it, in the way of education and experience, and the satisfaction that I "built" something useful.
@Tannerrebuilds thank you bud!! And you're welcome! My goal for this channel is to help inspire others to do and build things, coming from a regular guy that's not a professional. I can't wait to see what yours looks like when you build it 👍
I gotta say buddy! For 20 years all I have done is work tirelessly, and never did anything else. And then one day I bought this classic Chevy C20 truck and now I'm here. And It's good to be here, win, lose, or draw. Learning a lot, making new friends, you included.
Thank you!!! I'm really impressed with it myself. Actually so is Arc captain liked ot so much they used the picture in a couple of their ads this week.
Use your regular square to get in between your tacks. Also, you can use a 1/2” x 1/2” x 6”-10” square stock or something comparable and you can use it between your wide square and whatever you can’t reach because of the tacks.
@@MidnightCustoms-C20 It looked more like a dalek out of Dr WHO. It's on my channel somewhere, I soon chopped that thing up. Yours is more what I should have made.
Definitely. The truck spent most of its life in Salt lake city. But the upside is the amount of skill and experience I'm going to get from doing this project. Also lots of content for youtube 😅
@WhiskeyDents I get that! Normally I'm slammed at work and be lucky to get a video a month out... but also I'm trying to do quality content and the channel is about a 71' chevy it's kind evolved in to a diy fabrication channel as I've realized there's tools and things I need that need and started building them instead of buying them. At some point real soon I'll get back to working on the truck.
