Set the C stick to attack and jump to one of the shoulder buttons. Next, flick the left stick to the right or left and the C stick in the opposite direction ever your foe is facing, and after that press the jump button. Inputs: Flick the Left stick ➡ Flick the C Stick ⬅ and Press Jump Button at the same time to get an instant back air attack. As for the video shown here for DK, it can be a true combo but it requires a lot of practice. Anyway, I hope this helps.

Yeah, I agreed that the boss fight wasn't that good compared to other Mario games. I do prefer 3D World over this game because it has better boss battles.
