They are not accurate. I am 5'4" I weighed 174lbs and my inclined leg press is 420 FOR REPS (not MAX) 4sets of 25 reps. It told me I was 52% body fat. Okay, let's do the math on that: 1/2 of 174lbs is 87fucking lbs of pure fat. add in 12% body fat back in just make me human would make my "Actual weight minus the extra fat" 97.4lbs. My pull down reps are 75lbs. Just... no man. Not with my strength level and build. I would've believed I was 52% body fat when I was nearly 300lbs but I lost 107lbs through body building/weight lifting. So there is just no fucking way. I wasted $145 bucks. The tech giving me the test said he couldn't see those results as accurate for me and apologized but I was still out the money and time.
Is her reading correct? Though her body isn't entirely visible, she doesn't appear to be obese. It would be interesting to have obtained her body composition using other tools to compare reliability.
Yeah...I work with a lot of women, many who are athletes and fitness competitors and from the neck up...she certainly doesn't appear obese based on the fat percentage she was tested at. But, we've all seen women like that. Very bottom heavy while from the waist up, average size.
Women carry more fat than men, so 40% is very believable. You can spot fat storage in her face (visible double chin), which is usually indicative of higher fat storage below. Obviously we are all different and people store fat in different places, but 40% is very believable. An issue as well is we're so use to seeing massively obese people, our perception of what obese is has skewed. Obese is simply carrying more fat than needed, which has potential long term health implications.
Hi there, How can I monitor the heart rate in real time with a Garmin or Polar? I used both of them and unfortunately I wasn't able to record the heart rate in real time on my Omnia software as the water was blocking the bluetooth signal from the HR belt to Omnia and K5. Thank you.

Dr. Froböse sollte die momentane Forschung dazu kennen, blamiert sich hier aber wieder gnadenlos. Der "Stoffwechsel" wird vor allem durch eine Zufuhr ausreichender Kohlenhydrate, Protein und Bewegung wieder "aktiviert." Die Erholung erfolgt NICHT auf Pre-Diät Werte.Entscheidend ist zu sehen, inwieweit die Schilddrüsen dabei mitmachen. Der Grundumsatz ist ebenso nicht entscheidend, der Gesamtumsatz ist es. Ansonsten: 1800-1900? Als GRUNDUMSATZ? Wie bitte? Welche Frau hat bitte einen solche hohen Grundumsatz bei der Fülle. Hat sie vorher abgenommen, gibt es eben eine Reduktion. Ich habe letzte Woche eine Grundumsatzmessung durchführen lassen und war total geschock das mein Grundumsatz nur 810kcal beträgt, ich bin 1,74m groß. Gibt es außer Krafttraining und bestimmten Lebensmitteln noch etwas um den Grundumsatz wieder zu steigern? Wo kann dieser niedrige Wert herkommen? Ich habe keine Crash-Diäten oder ähnliches gemacht....
