My question is, if you have an open programmable platform that has even close to nasdaq speed, and everyone is on that platform (found PMF), does it matter? If that's where the trading happens everyone is playing in the same arena anyway. Maybe close is good enough if (big if) the chain finds escape velocity

Solana T+B >> nasdaq T+1ms by order of magnitude, trade already happened not only based on that event X. as consider those events Xn happening all over, a market has to integrate all events to produce market price, the integration is going to happen on Nasdaq first. after ten events hit nasdaq, are acted on tradewuse, no one cares about all these time stamped sol events trickling in, the market has already moved its price based on superior aggregated info. considering multiple events needed to be integrated into consensus blocks, seems solana would be 2 orders of magnitude slower than Nasdaq integrating world info and settling it? Thanks interesting duscussion. 41:30 that is a big key... bad process good outcome... but so many people, like I think polychain with axie infinity... just invest as a community service type of thing per olaf video... and that is thier big hit arbitrarily... so was that bad process? likely not per se, he did vet team, but just did not see much potential per se..... and he was way wrong on that. as it perhaps 10,000 X for him so much seems atbitrary.... but process is key, I think, especially for what I envisioned your investments more "convicted "and focused/risky versus a polychain type of diversified deal, yeah, what will kill you is repeating convicted bad process good outcomes...... but I think a risk of that is is that just you can have good process good outcomes and then the whole market structure changes underneath you for the next 10 years and you're still "highly convicted" with an old meta... diversification = longevity
