Just a girl happily drowning in her books. These are my thoughts and feelings. Goodreads: www.goodreads.com/friend/i?invite_token=ZTcwY2Y3ZTUtZTIzNi00M2I4LWI2NzctZjY0NTczNDMxZjI4
Update: Heard from them Monday saying they would send the missing items. It is now Thursday, and I received the missing items (the plate and tarot card pouch) today. They did fix the issue.
Heya Kate! Thank you for doing my original tag! You did a great job with the prompts - I enjoyed your video. The books you mentioned were also good ones. I think Harpies qualify, for sure. Piers Anthony used harpies quite a lot in his Xanth books, so I totally agree with that answer. TY again for the mention and great video! :)
I just finished reading this book and I give it a rating of 2.5/5. I agree that some of the parts were very confusing. Some of the scenes were hard to imagine because it was so outlandish. I agree that the author should’ve stuck to one plot (the teenagers). Overall, the concept was interesting, but it was poorly executed. I love your video. I’m glad we have the same viewpoint haha 😂
Such a fun tag! I'm always here for paperbacks, well done! 🥰 I have a random romance recommendation for you. If you like ANYTHING by Emily Henry and/or ANYTHING by Christina Lauren, can I please suggest The Roughest Draft by Emily Wibberley and Austin Siegemund-Broka?
I read this book when it originally came out and have read it several times since. It was amazing, great action and cool political action in the remaining space colonies of Earth. Having said that, the sequels pretty much sucked.
I've been enjoying the boxes! It's definitely worth buying. The fun part is that you can choose between 3 different books every month (or click the surprise me option and they'll choose for you). The gifts seem to be tailored to each book so they are definitely putting a lot of thought into their boxes
Yeah I don't like holding onto that Emily Duncan book. I should've gotten rid of it long ago. I'm confident that most of these books will sell. Thanks for watching!
Hawaii was amazing! 2 things I love are animals and history. I got to go to the aquarium on Maui and had a ton of fun, and I got to go to Pearl Harbor which has been on my bucket list for the longest time
I've gotten the box for a couple of years and the summer and fall boxes tend to be my favorites :) Did you find anything out about the perfume? I got it in my box, but the bottle is pretty small so they may have overlooked it when packing...
Belated birthday greetings. Six of Crows is on my radar. I'm currently reading the first book of Mistborn. Maybe you should try more historical fiction as you liked 'And I Darken'.
And I Darken was definitely a dark horse that came out of nowhere. Six of Crows is fantastic and so is the TV show. Hope you enjoy Mistborn! I'm currently finishing Hero of Ages.
Ahh, thank you so much for doing the tag! I was just searching to find Jim's take on it, and found yours! These are really fun choices- so many books here I don't know yet! 'It's All Downhill From Here' sounds great! I'm with you on love triangles- sometimes they're so cliched! Thank you again!
Hey just found you! So glad to see you did the tag! Really interesting when you said there wont be a book that you 100% disagree with. I never thought of it like that before. Thanks so much for doing this tag!
Intriguing answers, don't feel bad about not finishing a book, there are so many good books out there, if one doesn't grip you, you can let it go... Mistborn is on my December TBR.
I should work more on dnfing. I only have 1 book I have officially dnfed. I hope you enjoy Mistborn! I enjoyed the 1st book a lot. The 2nd book not as much. Then the 3rd book has me fully invested again
Good luck with the move. Is the sound okay? After 4:44 I hear two voices on the audio. At 8:00 I don't hear anything. I like Leigh Bardugo, too... the Ninth House was great.
I have read the books and i think its obvious that katniss and gale was never going to work even without peeta First, Katniss would be too distraught over Prim's death that Gale would just be a reminder of Prim's death, it would be too much on their relationship. Every time Katniss would see Gale, she would just be reminded that Gale was involved in the making of the bomb that killed her beloved sister, Prim. For me, Prim’s death was just the final straw and Katniss and Gale falling out is inevitable. If she didn’t die, Katniss and Gale would still have to confront how much they have already grown apart and no longer the same hunting partners in their woods. And I still can see Gale going to 2 because that’s where he feels he can contribute the most. Whatever fancy job he was offered, he would still want to take it regardless. But I don’t see Katniss wanting to go to D2, especially after what happened in the Nut and how that incident showed how they are fundamentally very different people. Next, Suzanne Collins has wrote in the book that Katniss and Gale have too much of the same personality to ever be involved in anything romantic. Katniss and Gale both have the fiery, stubborn personality that would get into too many fights for anyone's good. While Katniss' fiery personality combined with Peeta's caring personality would work perfectly, which is why they ended up together. Finally, Gale can’t fully understand the trauma that Katniss went through, when Peeta can since he was there. Gale could probably try to help her through the flashbacks or something, but the whole experience of the Hunger Games started tearing their friendship apart. Of course, Gale went through his own stuff too, and his father was killed the same way Katniss’ was, but I’m pretty sure being thrown in an arena to fight to the death is more extreme. As stated, Gale was never good at comforting people, really. Peeta and Katniss understand and help each other get through it all, that’s one of the main points and the foundation of their relationship. Without the other, they wouldn’t really have anyone that could be there and help them like they do. Haymitch, maybe, but I mean... it’s Haymitch.
I've just downloaded Mistborn, hope to get to it soon. The Doctor is an extraterrestrial coming from Gallifrey. Thanks for tackling the tag...you are gradually getting through the alphabet...
