Just one mention, thanks for not fiddling with the zoom and leave the FOV! It’s so much better to watch, and fyi: you can always zoom in on a RU-vid video, so if I want to see details I can zoom in on my own on my iPad! So much appreciated
Also just curious, I believe anytime the Exploder moves adjacent to you It will exploded ( committing suicide) and then rolling 1 red dice on you for damage.
When Creatures get activated: They either Move OR Attack. They never do both UNLESS an Event card says otherwise (e.x. All Creatures Move and Attack) Then you go to this simple steps for each enemy: 1) Is creature in Attack Range (R1 means adjacent for example) ? 1.1) Yes-> it attacks and then you do the damage roll 1.2) No -> it moves until it is in attack Range and then stops 1.2.1.) if now and event says "and attack" -> they would also attack Hope that clarifies everything.
Glad you enjoyed! That's the last one for a while, got other board games to get to. As always, donations would ensure more episodes in the near future.
I noticed that some people that play Deep Rock Galactic call the M.U.L.E "Molly". I believe it's pronounced "Mule" referring to the cousin of the donkey. (aka the Beasts of burden). Mules were used for various purposes in military history including, Transporting supplies for armies. and the M.U.L.E in the game is a supply holder.
creatures end their movements at soon as they enter tile within range of their attack. The Mactera Spawn would end its movement 3 spaces away from the closest dwarf 23:36
Yes, we are aware. We personally don’t care for that rule as all a Dwarf has to do is move one space away and get back outside of range. By moving a creature closer it’s harder to cheese it. You are correct though. We just forgot to mention this small house rule.
I noticed in your game (and I could be mistaken) you would not roll dice according to the colored dice of the creature's resistance. The creature is not resistant to the entire color only the one (or two) dice of the color is subtracted. [e.g. The Gunner rolls 3 green bullet damage. The Spitball Infector has 1 point of resistance against bullets, so it suffers 2 damage and survives with 3 health remaining]. [rule Book page-16. Love your play throughs.
@@DadsGamingAddiction OK got it. My golden rule is "it's our game we play as we want" the key (always) is to have fun. Keep up the good play throughs (preferably more co-op board games).
getting hit by the torture devices after gaining full immunity will help your ants gain attack boosts, electric thing makes any creature near your ants get shocked and die and etc
Wow thats the first time you enabled the comments... i tried to give some praise and feedback but always saw you turned the comment section off! Now is my chance: Thanks for the videos on deep rock galactic. <3 Would love to see the comment section permanently open! 52:00 the sentry only fires once per enemy activation, when it spawned you can shoot it but you can’t shoot it again at least it’s what I remember I would suggest to have the camera zoom all the way out (max field of view) since there was a lot off camera stuff happening and seeing the die rolls and the whole boards would be a better viewing experience. (Starting at 01:16:00 it was a nice view for 2 minutes as an example) 01:23:30 the web spitter would only move 1 space, creatures only move until their in their attack range
I would love to see the YT comments enabled as well. It became too much for me (health reasons) to manually review comments to keep my channel family friendly and toxic free. That said, there's always my Discord channel! As for the zoom, my camera only goes to 1080P so I imagine those who are visually impaired may have trouble seeing the minis from a far zoom. I'll keep that in mind though and try to do it more often.
I should also note that YT has a disable all comments but not an enable all comments. If I wanted to enable comments again I'd have to enable them 1 by 1 on all 4,000+ videos. My tendonitis / arthritis in my wrists tell me "no" when I consider it.
Thanks for all these videos you’ve been putting up, I just got the expansions and there’s SO many boxes and books and it’s all quite intimidating, but your how to play video, unboxing and this video have really helped explain it all. Many thanks!
Hey, thanks for the video, I just wanted a quick overview (to make sure I have a good bead) on how to use the new expansion stuff. Keep up the good work!
Hello! thanks for the video. I saw that the pre order of the game was available, and I wanted to ask which expansions you recommend (between the 2 large and the 3 small). It's a little expensive game and I can't afford everything. Thanks in advance! 😊
I'd say get the space rig expansion. It comes with the ability to do like a campaign. And you get constant progress. Also new missions. And the small expansions are not required to play. They just add new enemies. But if I chose one out of the two I'd take the korlok weed.
Oh I get it! It is indeed expensive. In my opinion the mini expansions are nice but unnecessary. I enjoy the Space Rig the most as it offers new mission types and progression via the 4 mission assignment. The Biome Expansion would be next in line as it offers new creatures to play around with and 4 new biome types with their own environmental hazards.
Also, the miniature expansions only add 1 or 2 cards to the swarm deck, so the chance that you actually run into the expansion bugs isn't great. I got the first edition and this time I actually passed on the Korlok weed because I just didn't see it adding value. I had to get a bulk detonator though because it's just so iconic.
While not in the rulebook, if I want to guarantee a certain creature I'll shuffle its related card into the top 1-3 cards of its respective deck so that it comes out at some point. You can do something similar with the Korlok by using it and maybe 2-3 other random hidden caves and shuffling those, giving you a 25/33% chance to get the Korlok.
L have a an ideal of a freeplay of you must have a population of 1000 ants and l know you think that pc will exploide but it will not ,waves takes alot fps not ants if you have 2000 ants thats when your pc will exploide if you have potato pc but don't have waves here are some settings 1 fog of war on 2have group of 100 200 so that it won't take forever for your ants to respond 3 you can choose any ant specios except gene thief and not for enemy too 4 large amount of food drop 5 three ant colonies 6 you can choose a map but enemies is map appropiate and ant appropiate too 7 enemies harder near the end 8 ai on hard difficulty on ants colony and enviroment 9 this in a direction of realism and l try it before and l love seeing my thousand of ants running and having a solid 40fps on a potato pc But if you a beast it should be 60fps
Vince have you ever seen a Pelican Spider? (Not in the game, in real life or a photo) Those demon insects hunt other spiders and they look like a pelican. Creepiest thing alive.
@@DadsGamingAddiction there making a new game called bioframe outpost it’s close to completion and definitely one for the wishlist, but eufloria was one of my all time favs so I can’t wait for bioframe outpost
Not sure if your going to see this, but if you do, here are some things I do when my colony takes too long to register landmarks. Delete lines of your fire ants to split them into groups of 30-50, use speed tiles to separate them! Btw love the video!
question, when you buy the bullet ants are they already leveled up so you can buy level 3, or do you have to grind to level them up, if so what do you recommend for grinding?
5:45 im kinda happy i wasnt the only one who failed because he stayed underground. Just put some ants above ground and he wont shake the thing around causing damage to your queen.
Btw do you know if there’s a cap on aphids for one plant? I imagine if they continue spawning aphid plants or respawning them on plants you’ve cleared, you might be able to get a pretty insane food source right next to your base. Edit: Nevermind, looked it up and apparently there’s a cap of 50 milkweed aphids on milkweed plants. Also, they produce honeydew every 75 seconds at 6-10 food a pop, so on average a maxed milkweed plant would give around 320 food per minute.
Btw I'm not sure if you've noticed a lot of the ants only have special abilities at level 3 which is usually the main reason for upgrading them. For example the leafcutters only get stun or taunt at level 3 and same with the wood ants. (level 3 may cost a lot but it is usually worth it for the abilities alone if not for the extra stats)
I'm curious to see if you've messed around with the mortar type wood ants yet. They are one of the other species of ants that is worth it for level three depending on your situation. Their incredible splash damage makes them extremely useful for crowd control usually a more mid-late game thing but they are still great for early game is you have body shields like fire ants.
if you look closely at the minimap at 50:25, there's another uber creature which spawned just few seconds after the first one, so the narrator didn't cover the second one
I saw somebody play with the bullet ants and once they were done upgrading they erased the speed tiles and put more bullet ants in where the speed tiles were and it worked
Btw why don’t you use wood ants? The amplification of venom/physical damage (whichever you chose in your formicarium) would really help your fire ants, and they’re just really good damage themselves. Edit: Why’d you take so long to get the ranged wood ants?
Not to be mean but Wood ants is not that good for this challenge or even tier 5 also major leafcutters? Have you beaten the game? It's mostly outclassed by other colony units or bullet ants but you still got a point except for your point about wood ants
"Why’d you take so long to get the ranged wood ants?" Because I'm the one behind the keyboard playing the game. It's not up to you, or anyone else, how I choose to play MY game.
@@DadsGamingAddiction yeah fair enough, I was just curious if there was a practical purpose to it. Sorry if it seemed like I was attacking your playstyle.
Hi there! Possibly, I've been waiting for the 7 days 1.0 launch before starting anything new. Personally not a fan of the book system so I spawn them periodically for my family to keep a sense of progression. I'll be curious to see if they change or adjust that system in 1.0.
