Hello i just got a Sena Spider ST1 and im having a problem with communicating with my friends. 1st off the Microphone does not work. Ive tried using both microphones provided and it doesnt pick up any sound. Secondly, i can barley hear my friends when they talk. Like its super quiet. Ive tried soft and hard resetting the Unit but it still doesnt work. Anyone having a similar problem or know a solution?

Hi. If you have the versions of the 30K with the part numbers 30K-02 or the 30K-03 then you don't need to enable the HD Speakers because it is enabled by default as those part numbers come with the HD Speakers in the package. Thanks.
Hi. With the latest version of the 30K, the activating the voice command system with the Ambient Mode Button has been removed and the voice command system can be activated with the phrase "Hey Sena". Please refer to the User's Guide for the 30K for more details. Thanks.
Sena you should be ashamed... Why did you not reach out to Chris Caliente? Years back this man had so many GoldWingers supporting your Product. I did even not know about Sena until Chris Caliente. Cruiseman Vlogs are boring and unappealing and he steal's many Idea's from Caliente. I have nothing but Sena products for Years but will move on to Cardo from here on out.
Hi. If you wanted to record multiple riders in Mesh Intercom then yes you would need the MeshPort Red, but if you wanted to record only yourself then you do not need the MeshPort Red. Thanks.

Shame on sena and shame on shoei. What to do with our srl2? Reuse, recicle? Does sena knows what it mean? Someone from sena can explain me why can’t use srl2 in gt air3? Why they change completle the design?
My R2 Evo headsets only run in mesh for 45 minutes. That is after Sena replaced the batteries in all 3 headsets. Please tell me where the battery is located so that I can bypass your charge shutoff circuit and run my helmets on a better pack.
Hi. The battery is located within the EPS liner which we recommend not tampering with as that will reduce the overall safety of the helmet. My friend bought the srl 3 and we wanted better coms we have been trying to connect his srl 3 to my cardo packtalk egde for 3 days and we still cant figure out how to do that over mesh. There is not a video out there that explains how to pair the 2 together at all.
Really like my new Shoei Neotec 3 helmet, but the Sena SRL3 is a nightmare to get to pair with the motorcycle. I finally gave up and got my selling HD dealer to get everything pared.
Using the GoPro pre-recording option does not capture the sound of the intercom microphone, you can have the intercom pre-record the sound also together with the GoPro so that when you press the pre-recording button on the GoPro it has also captured the sound of the microphone of the intercom ?
How in the world can you make an outdoor motorcycle equipment device that is NOT at all water proof? I just started to look into Intercom Systems and of course there are just 2 brands that are wide spread and on the top level. I completely leaned into the Sena direction but then I stumbled about more and more horror stories with failing devices after rain or fog drives. This is completely beyond my understanding.
If you want something Sena-based, get the Interphone Ucom series, quite a few options. The UCom 16 is basically a Sena 50 with a separate battery pack and no Harmon Kardon, but all their stuff is IP67. It's what I use and as someone in the motorcycle gear trade, I almost always recommend the new Interphones over Sena. If you wanted, you can always get the HK speakers and mic separately and they connect absolutely fine. I haven't done that yet but I'm more than happy with the quality of the normal 40mm speakers
@@ItsBeenDanBefore I just checked it out and it looks promising but here in Germany its over 100€ higher in price than the Sena itself. I found a video about disassembling the 50 series models (for battery replacement) and it turned out, the main PCB design is relatively simple and easy to apply conformal silicone coating that I already use for drone flight control systems. So I guess I will just waterproof the 50R myself while the silicone gasket it already has, prevents major water introduction already. The coaring does prevent moisture oxidation then. THat should make it safe then especially with the button-style use of the R model.
Ok I got it but now I have just discovered that there are someone issues if I have sena and my friends have cargo or interphone… can someone help me if that is true? Or really it doesn’t matter which brand I have if I want to talk with others in MESH? Thank you
I have connected my Sena to the X4 and everything is working fine, but communication with other intercoms via mesh or group intercom is no longer possible. Mesh is no longer switched on. How can I fix this?
This is not mentioned at all in the advertisement for the X4. It is advertised that the cam is compatible with Sena intercoms, but not that as soon as the cam is connected, the Sena becomes unusable for communication. I assume that Insta360 worked with Sena, otherwise Insta360 would not be allowed to advertise the compatibility. It should therefore be mentioned that a Meshport Red is required, which is not a small investment. Otherwise, customers are deceived and forced to buy additional expensive equipment.

Do still have 1 problem. I have an open HJC helmet (with windshield) with boom microphone. If I speak any command, the GoPro 11 does not always respond immediately. if I raise the windshield, the GoPro responds a little better, if I lower the screen, it does not respond or sometimes after many tries. Is it because of the microphone setting in the settings? if so, which setting should I try?
