What a great time listening to these freinds for life talk about their good old racing days and the way it was. Love when Melvin talked about the how they pissed off all the chevy guys with that 55😂😂😂😂 .....there was a guy at Escondido "Nitro Nights" with a real nice black 66 chevy ll pro street car. All my Chevy friends, and admittedly I as well, were oohing and awing at this car until we looked under the hood. A stroked and built and real nice sounding 347 small block ford. You should of heard them piss and moan...talk about the pot calling the kettle black ha ha....started talking to the guy that owned at he just laughs.....he told me a week or two before at another car show he actually had death threats posted on the car......boy oh boy when the shoe is on the other foot....R.I.P. That's when I first went to the Drag Races at Edgewater right outside of Cincinnati Ohio in the 70's with my Dad. I wish it would have stayed like it was.
Bring back the 70's & 80's truck races!! Really politically correct!... no smoke, no 15 to 20+ rigs on the track, And.. No joyous 2 stroke "music" to the ears = Boring!!
Grass was legal to pass in, some parts of track were only wide enough for one kart. To answer your question, Juan and Justin were class of the field. Juan lost brakes in the widow maker and stuff it into the fence. Justin took lead with one to go and won out right.
