Like others, I too have the issue of the world map not showing. I've watched your video quite a few times and cannot identify where you speak specifically to getting the world map to show. Because it doesn't automatically show when you run Geolayout.
I ran this one with Gephi 0.10 ver. It works well. When you import csv file, you should choose "Append to existing workspace". Otherwise, Gephi will deal with your nodes and links separately. In addition, delete unnecessary columns in the CSV file.
I have seen your video on temporal network. could you please help me how to use the WOS literature data using gephi . I have converted the data in bibexcel but stuck with how to use in gephi temporal network to show the evolution of the themes.
Your question is too broad, and I have no idea about bibexcel. But the reason for converting data type is for using a tool. I mean, you need to convert your data for using Gephi.
Hi, thanks for the video! Do you know if there is a way to make it run on .py script? I was able to get the Notebook to work, but having trouble doing the same in PyCharm.
Some codes working in the Notebook do not work in Spyder or Pycham etc, but not vice versa. I think some packages work only in the Notebook environment. After the issues, I have been using Jupyter or Google colab.
@@yjoon5 Hello, thank you for your help and the awesome video! I am using jdk-15.0. I was able to put the path directly and got rid of the java errors. Now, I ran into another problem where my notebook says 's is not defined' or if I try with a patch variable it says 'p is not defined'. Do you have any idea what this could be? Thanks!
Hello Thanks for the great tutorial, but I've got a problem: It says: "Error at get_prev.net(dat, at = 1) : can't find function "get_prev.net" ", when i try to run: sim <- netsim(net, param, init, control) Do you know what to do?
This is a great video, thanks. If we set up a network with an edge list in a csv file, where the csv file contained a tie between two people, disregarding time, what would we do for the nsims value? I know that value makes the simulation run 5 times, but what kind of impact does that have on the results if we aren't using time, but instead the connections for the number of steps? Thanks!
Hi Young great video. I followed all the steps with my data. I am trying to visualize betweenness and centrality and how they change over time, but when I play the time line only the number of edges changes, not the size and color of the nodes... Is it because I am only calculating the metrics one and the values I see are the overall of the dynamic network? I hope you can help me.
Hi. First of all, Gephi is a simple visualizing tool. So it may not show the outcomes you want. I think you need to check "appearance". If the # of edges changes, the degree will change too. Check it. Thank you.
