wow they really blocked that road up. Definitely don't remember it being like that! I suppose I was there last in 2012 or so. The alders have really grown in up there.
Incredibly beautiful! Do you carry any survival or communication gear in case you had to land on the mountain? What's the AGL altitude you were at? I was in the Seattle area for several days last September on a business/pleasure trip, had some free time & called five flight schools trying to hire a CFI & a 152 or 172 or _any_ airplane to take a trip around Mt. Rainier, take photos & video, and actually get to _do_ the flying. All the schools I called had schedules filled with students & two said they wouldn't do a "sightseeing trip," even though I was clear that I wanted some mountain instruction and _maybe_ a full endorsement & checkout for rental so I could go solo next time. Anyway, I'll be returning this Sept and Oct & will attempt the same thing except I'll call way ahead to arrange this first. I wonder if you & your 152 might be available?
When I'm flying flight sim, I regularly say "No way would they put this house or this tree at the end of the runway in real life." It seems I was mistaken.
@@ScottsSynthStuff It’s Lynden Airpark, stop making stuff up. The houses are built right near the runway, and the whole point is for aviation enthusiasts to enjoy a runway right by their house. Theirs a multitude of videos online showcasing people with airplanes taxiing right by their house.
Amazing scenery! I think we were actually visiting Stehekin the day you landed. Don't remember seeing you flying over, however. Do you know the name of the lake at 3:10?
Nice video! Liked & Subscribed! You came and visited my home airport of Nanaimo BC (CYCD) on Sept 3rd ish? Let me know the next time you come up this way!!! On a side note, you have some decent nose wheel shimmy going on when you roll out @ 11:10 ... Might be worth looking into replacing the torque link bushings and servicing the shimmy dampener!
